About Me
I live in Banbury with my partner Andy. We have two little girls, aged 11 and 9.
We are all covid vaccinated.
I am a qualified Nursery Nurse, and Ofsted registered childminder. I have a pediatric first aid certificate and a good knowledge of allergies due to my own children having multiple allergies (now outgrown) and additional needs.
I also have a full clean drivers licence . My car is fitted with appropriate car seats. I have vacancies from 8-6 However i understand that juggling childcare and work can be difficult so these hours are flexible
I am based in Cherwell Heights,Banbury and happy to do school/nursery drop offs/collections, in and around Banbury.
A typical day would be a structured activity in the morning, either one of the many toddler groups or music groups. Back for lunch, then sleep time for those that need it.Free play ( or outdoor play, chalking , drawing or arts in the garden if it is nice weather ) in the afternoon.Snack, play, school pick up in the afternoon if needed , or a walk to the park.Dinner around 4:30 /5:00 for those that need it. This can either be brought by yourself or provided for additional cost. Healthy snacks will be offered throughout the day. ( fruit, breadsticks, yoghurt etc ).
I understand that as parents you want to be involved in all aspects of your child's care, so throughout the day, i will keep a diary of your child's day.
My Experience
I was a nanny for 15 yrs, starting off by going to France at 17 to nanny for 2 girls 10 months and 11 years.,Where i got great experience and was able to learn the language..After returning back to the Uk, I left Yorkshire to move to Oxford (as the family i was working for at the time were relocating to Oxford) and have been here since i have nannied for children aged from 1 day to 11 yrs. and done both proxy parent and shared care. I am now a mummy to two beautiful little girls,
I have been childminding since the birth of my first daughter and love the variety that that brings.

NNEB. (qualified as a nursery nurse )
ADCE (ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN CHILDCARE AND EDUCATION).
Ofsted registered.
First Aid Trained.
Full clean drivers Licence.
DBS checked.
Extensive experience in additional needs/ Global Development delay/ Communication disorders and allergies.

Our little one started part time with Nikki when he was just 1 and his favourite pastimes were putting stones in his mouth and throwing himself off sofas and soft play equipment! He settled in with her beautifully and thankfully didn't give her a heart attack! She was great at making him (and me!) feel secure, and it was a lovely calm but stimulating setting for him. She also took him to some of the same baby groups we had been going to which gave him some continuity. If it hadn't been for Covid he would I am sure still be with Nikki but instead we just have to enjoy catching up with her and the girls every once in a while 😊

On meeting Nikki we had an instant positive feeling. She understood and helped us with the initial first time separation which is always difficult for mother and child. Nikki continuously kept us updated which was a great help and reassurance. My daughter always looked forward to going and made amazing progress within herself and all age appropriate activities. Nikki is kind, understanding and her qualifications, experience and knowledge not only help the children she cares for but the parents too. I would absolutely recommend Nikki as a fantastic and reliable childminder.

Nikki is without doubt the best childminder we’ve had for our two boys. She is friendly, dependable, trustworthy and incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to early years.
Nikki took care of our eldest son for 3 years before he started school, and she is currently looking after our youngest for 3 days a week. Nikki came highly recommended from a friend and I would recommend her to anyone. From day one she has treated our boys like they’re part of her own family. She is naturally very caring and nurturing and that comes across in the care she provides. Both of our boys arrive at Nikki’s house with a huge smile on their face.
Nikki is great to deal with as a parent. She’s incredibly friendly and flexible, and will always help out if she can. Communication is always fantastic and we receive regular updates and photos during the day so we know the kids are having a great time.
Nikki has also worked on developing the boys including social skills, manners, speech and writing skills.
Nikki and her family feel like an extension of our own family. I don’t think we would could trust or rely on anyone better to care for our boys.

Nikki has been amazing since the moment we met her and she got down on the floor to play with the kids. She initially looked after my 3yo daughter for 6 months before she officially started preschool in September and now looks after my 1yo son. Both of my kids absolutely adore Nikki as do we! She is calm, caring and firm but fun. She goes above and beyond to help where she can and I don’t know what we’d do without her! She’s a brilliant childminder and there’s no one I could trust more with my kids. She’s become a firm part of our funny family and we thing she’s amazing!

Nikki started looking after our two girls in November. I am so pleased to have found her. She plans so many activities for them, based around their individual interests, and they love their time with her. She really helped the girls to settle in and is very relaxed and patient. She is flexible, reliable, professional and very good at communicating with me and with my children. I am very happy to recommend her.
