I am a mature, older mum (54) to one daughter now 22, and have just become a Nana to my first Grandchild.
I don't smoke, and don't take any chances when it comes to the health and welfare of my own or others' children.
I returned to work part-time after 3 months maternity leave, returning to full time employment once my daughter was 7 years old, so can appreciate how difficult it can be to juggle working & home life (and studying too in my case).
It's even more difficult if you have no other family around and to find someone you can trust and rely on to help with your child/ren, so you can have some 'me' time knowing your children are well cared for.
I am bubbly, animated and responsible with lots of common sense which usually beats qualifications hands down.
Honest & reliable, I have no criminal record and have a clean, enhanced CRB (on line) for my volunteer work with a local charity's vulnerable children & young adults.
A character reference can be provided if required.
Short notice/ same day notice for evening babysitting duties always considered, if I am available.

My Experience
Before having my own family, I used to babysit two local families youngsters (primary school age) for around 18 months/2years regularly on Saturday nights, from 7pm until the small hours.
I have since gone on to have my own family and babysit other family members own children also. (New Born Babies through to Primary School ages)
I have home-tutored my own daughter on Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning for successful entry into Grammar School.
I have been a Youth Club leader/helper of 11-16 year olds, and been a school parent Governor at my daughter's Primary School, for 4 years.
I’ve been regularly babysitting a family of 6 children for 5 years (all under 10) and have worked as a Personal Assistant for a 9 year old disabled girl with special needs and Autism for almost 2 years. I also look after two other families children on an ad-hoc basis. Both children have had special needs (Autism )
My Qualifications
I have no 'official' child minding qualifications. However, I do have many years of practical hands-on experience, from babies to teens, and also special need experience in Autism and shaken baby syndrome.
Excellent standard of education to NVQ L4 in Accounting (MAAT) and Institute of Personnel & Development (Lic IPD)
My Availability
I am available weekday evenings from around 6pm (or earlier by negotiation) and weekends daytime &/or evenings for child care in your own home.
I am happy to do all night sleepovers with prior notice.
Light domestic duties also undertaken if required eg washing up, loading/unloading dishwasher, making tea/snacks etc
I am a driver with own transport, clean driving licence and business use insurance covering child minding activities, so am able to deliver myself and take myself home - no extra taxi fare required.

Louisa has been babysitting regularly for us for the last 3 years from when our granddaughter was one year old. She is extremely reliable - she has never let us down. Our granddaughter loves her and she has become part of the family! Louisa also babysits for friends of ours who have 5 children and she takes this in her stride.
Overall
Louisa came to look after my 11 weeks old baby girl last Thursday night in a very short notice as I had to fly abroad on business. My wife was very happy with the service she provided and our baby had been very much settled whilst she was with Louisa. According to my wife she is very polite, kind and very easy to get on with. She would recommend her for anyone without any hesitation and we will definitely use her services in future.
