About Me
Hello my name is Jane and I am a FULLY QUALIFIED EARLY YEARS TEACHER as well as an OFSTED registered childminder. I work with one full time assistant and one part time assistant. My full time assistant is my daughter, Beth, who is a fully qualified teacher (qts) who is ofsted registered and trained in safeguarding and first aid. My part time assistant, Emily, is an artist with personal experience of special educational needs, (also trained in safeguarding and first aid). Both ladies are extremely kind and nutiring, and together we form a strong team. We provide a safe, nurturing, home-from-home environment. We are lively and outgoing, and love to spend time outdoors, doing craft, and in the kitchen. I pick up and drop off at Trinity Road Primary school. I also pick up and drop off at Springboard Preschool. All 3 of us love spending time with, and looking after children, watching them grow through stimulating and lively play. As well as before and after school wrap-around care, we also offer a stimulating preschool program from 9 till 3. I accept funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds and tax free childcare vouchers. In the morning we go out and enjoy different activities on different days (see below for an example schedule). We return to the house for nap and activity time in the afternoons, including heuristic play, baby yoga, craft, art, baking and other activities. Learning through the EYFS is built into every part of every day, and every activity, with a focus on learning through play.
Morning preschool schedule:
Monday - library rhyme time
Tuesday - toddler group
Wednesday - soft play
Thursday - shopping trip and/or playground
Friday - swimming (depending on numbers etc)
My Experience
I have more than 30 years childcare experience. I have two older children of my own, and therefore understand the joys and trials of parenting. Before childminding, I looked after children most of my adult life. I have nannied newborn babies, toddlers and school age children. In my time as a childminder I have cared for all age groups. I am a great problem solver and can offer lots of helpful advice. I can offer a bespoke service for your child. I also have some experience working with special needs.
My Qualifications
I have several relevant child care qualifications including EYTS (early years teacher status), CYPOP5, various Safeguarding qualifications, integrated working, pediatric first aid, Epilepsy Awareness, epipen, EYFS, Food Hygiene and various Scouting qualifications. I keep all my qualifications up to date.
My Availability
I open from 8am till 6pm Monday to Thursday and 8am till 5pm Fridays and can offer term time only contracts if needed.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
I charge £5.50per hour.
I am registered to offer government FEEE funded places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds and tax free childcare.

We have been using Jane as our little boy's childminder for 6 months (currently 14 months old) and it has been amazing! Jane has become like family to us. She has created such an amazing bond with our little one, he loves going to Jane's. It is so nice to drop him off and know that he is in a safe and loved environment. We get regular updates throughout the day on how he is doing and what his routine has been and what he has been up to which is lovely. Jane takes him out to various different places like soft play, play group etc so he has lots of experiences and adventures with her! I couldn't recommend Jane more!

I have been using Jane's services for six years now. She is like a family member and a friend to us all! My kids (boy and a girl) absolutely love Jane for her kindness, support she always gives them, and occasional, very welcome treat ;o)
I've always liked Jane's approach to children - she is very caring and at the same time she teaches them important lessons in life, behaviour, manners, all in a kind and understanding way. She always looks at each child as an individual and customises her approach to cater for each child's needs.
Jane can be fully depended upon and I highly recommend her to any family!!!

I have been using this family orientated child minder for 3 years now. My son was 2 years old when he first went to Jane. My initial thoughts about her initial business with the way she deals with the children were fantastic and she continues to amaze me with the fun and educational activities she provides for the children. They have an allotment the children go to regularly to feed their chickens and collect fresh eggs.
She cooks 3 fresh meals a day meals a day and promotes healthy eating with the children. The journey my son has had with Jane Saunders so far has been brilliant. He has learnt so much and continues to learn now as she picks my child up from school. I recommend her highly and would happily speak to prospective parents about her child care business.
I cannot thank her enough for providing a safe and fun environment for my little boy.
Jane has helped me get my son to hit the targets he should be for his age.
I thoroughly recommend her and will continue sending my child to her until my sons of an age where he no longer needs supervision before and after school.

Jane often cares for my daughter Libby when she's not at school.
she thoroughly enjoys her time spent with jane and gets vey excited when she knows she's going to her home.
Jane plays educational games with Libby and also encourages imaginative play,with the dress up box being one of Libby's favourite things!
I would highly recommend Jane,she provides excellent care for my daughter and gives me peace of mind that on the days Libby isn't at school she is still having a stimulating and active day.
