I offer the 30 hours Free childcare for 3/4year olds. I offer this as either the full 30hours or with wrap around care in partnership with St Wilfred's Primary.
I also offer 2,3 &4 yr olds their 15 hours free childcare/education per week.
I am a Portage Stamp of Approval. This means that I work in partnership with parents and other professionals in relation to the little ones in my care. I was one of the first 2 settings in the whole country to have been awarded this.
All members of staff are experienced in special needs and have completed the Portage 3 day training course.
I am trained to level 8 in Makaton as well as PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System).
I live in a large semi-detached house with a very large enclosed back garden. Part of the garden has Astro turf so children can be free to play all year round. The garden is dedicated to children's play and enjoyment.
I have a large indoor open plan playroom/Dining and Kitchen.
I believe in offering high quality affordable childcare. I am committed to working in partnership with parents to make sure your little one is cared and nurtured in a loving environment. I am very keen to work with you to follow your child's routine.
I was awarded a good grade at my last inspection by Ofsted in October 2018.
I currently offer school runs to St Wilfred's Primary School.
I qualified as a Nursery Nurse in 1995 and since then I have worked in a variety of childcare settings from being a private nanny, to running creche and working within Local Education Authority and the NHS. I have worked with a wide range of children from babies to teenagers, including lots of experience with children with special educational needs.
I am also a mum to a beautiful 9 year old, so I understand how important it is to work with you to develop and nurture your child.

I literately could not recommend this lady more. my little boy loves going to her house, and he's always so excited to see Lindsay and the lovely ladies who also work with her. Lindsay is always very helpful, and I trust her advice. you can see from the first time of meeting her that she really is devoted to these children, which I think is hard to come by. is the short space of time my sons behaviour has really improved, and he has even learnt how to use a big boy cup with help from Lindsay. he's been on some really lovely days out, and is well fed. thank you so much to Lindsay, you're a super star!!

Thank you Beth. We have loved having your little boy and he is now a big miss now he is in school!
Sarah has been looking after my daughter since October. My daughter absolutely loves going to Sarah's house! Sarah takes my daughter to soft play, parks, library and much more! I feel happy that Sarah is not only looking after my child but also encouraging her pre school education. I highly recommend Sarah.
What can I say about Lindsey....apart from our families very own super 'nanny'/ Mary Poppins.
I was very nervous about going back to work but was immediately reassured by Lindsey's calm, friendly and loving nature. It was obvious to us that she had lots of experience with children. I met with several childminders before meeting Lindsey.
She made our family very welcome in her home and my son always looked forward to going to Lindsey's. She kept us up to date with everything they did through the day via text with messages and photographs.
She was constantly taking my son on fabulous outings such as Alnwick Gardens. Her garden is amazing! Filled with everything a child could ever play with. My son often didn't want to leave which for us was very reassuring. He would ask to go on days he wasn't attending and cheer on mornings he was going.
Lindsey would support us and give us advice if we needed it. She worked with us thru the tantrum stage (which didn't last long thanks to her help!) she truly is amazing! We were sooo lucky to have found her.
Lindsey has become part of our extended family. She is amazing at caring/teaching and simply enjoying our son for who he is. She loves him as though he is her own and you don't find that easily in a childminder. It's not just a job to her it is her life and vocation and you can see that from meeting her for the very first time.

Thank you! He is a pleasure to have. I'm glad you've chosen to leave him with me to access his nursery education. He does so well with small ratios.
After doing my research Lindsey was the first childminder i contacted when I went back to work after having my first child. Being a new mother, childcare was very unfamiliar to me and i was quite nervous about leaving my 9 month old as i made the transition back into a working routine. I neednt of worried. My little boy settled in very fast to lindseys warm and cosy home environment, and although there were mornings where i could leave him in a bit if a grump i was always confident that lindsey could pull him round. She always had activities and toys laid out for him and offered a very free attitude to play which was important to me. Her garden is fantastic, and since our home only has a back yard it was always a relief to know that my little boy had been out in the fresh air running around enjoying the sand pit, getting wet and muddy and being allowed to explore.
As a parent i was very reassured by lindseys experience and have always found her to be very approachable, flexible and open. As a mother herself I felt she understood my needs as well as my little boys and worked with us as a family.
I couldnt rate her highly enough. My little boy was with her for two years and has only left as my work situation changed. Im still in contact with her and wouldnt hesitate to send him there again. When he see's her he is always smiling as he knows something fun is in store, and everytime we drive past her house he still waves at her. Which says it all.
