About Me
I live in Redcar with my husband, and one of my two grown up sons.
I offer a good quality childminding service, in a home based environment, with a wide range of toys and equipment for various ages. I have a fully enclosed rear garden with various outdoor play equipment.
I offer the funded 15 hours childcare for 2 year olds, and also the 3 & 4 year olds funded 15 & 30 hours childcare.
I live close to the beach and local parks, all of which we use regularly. Myself and the children also access local woods for nature walks etc.
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder for 20 years. I have always enjoyed being with children and this is one of the reasons why I chose to be a childminder.
I have completed various training courses with my job and keep up to date with all current legislation and requirements. I regularly attend safeguarding courses. I hold a paediatric first aid certificate, including CPR, and re-train every 3 years. I have food hygiene training, and hold a valid certificate, which again is updated every 3 years. I am registered as a food business, and have been inspected by environmental health. During the Covid pandemic I was accessing online training.

NVQ 3 in Childrens' Care, Learning and Development
FAA Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (including CPR)
EYFS training
Safeguarding Children, including Internet Safety
Prevent Duty training
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
Level 2 Award in Healthier Food and Special Diets
SEND Awareness
NCFE Certificate in Exploring Craft Ideas and Craft Resources
NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Equality and Diversity
I have completed various childminding courses over the years, including multi sensory play, makaton, autistic spectrum, speech and language awareness, supporting children with physical difficulties, behaviour awareness, technology in the early years. My training is ongoing, and I regularly attend evening courses to keep myself up-to-date. I have special needs experience, including autism.

At present I am open from 8.00 - 5.00 Mon to Fri, and offer places on a full time, or part time basis.
At present I pick up/ drop off from Newcomen, and Ings Farm primary schools - but others can be considered.
