My name is Kayleigh, I am 31 years old and live in Bristol with my boyfriend of eleven years in our pet and smoke free home. I am reliable, hard working, patient, honest and a non-smoker.
From December I am available for babysitting weekday evenings after 6pm and weekends. I am happy to work for a few families. I can offer one off babysitting or a regular evening and set times/days. This can be to cover date nights, exercise classes, events etc. I am able to cover all around Bristol and surrounding areas such as Portishead, Yate etc as I have my own car with business insurance. I am OFSTED registered so can accept childcare vouchers and Universal credit payments. I have worked with Children all of my life and enjoy supporting and guiding them into the people they will become.
I gained my Level 3 in Childcare and then started working in a Nursery as a Nursery Nurse and then worked my way up to Deputy Room Leader and then Room leader running the baby and toddler rooms with a team of seven. During this time I also studied for my level 4 in Childcare.
As a Nursery Nurse I worked in each of the rooms to gain experience with ages birth to five years. This role entailed following policies and procedures. Ensuring the environment was safe at all times. Planning and implementing activities in compliance with the EYFS.
As a Deputy Room Leader I took responsibility of the running of the room and ensuring the staff were supported and comfortable in their roles. Ensuring the parents satisfaction was always high and if ever a problem occurred ensuring this was corrected quickly and efficiently. Key holder, covering the manager in the office answering the door, telephone and emails. Liaising with external agencies including SEND, sensory therapists and social services.
As a Room Leader I took full responsibility of the room and a team of seven staff. Ensuring all the Children's needs were being met by continually monitoring the key worker system. Completing learning journeys and leading Parents evenings and events to build strong relationships with Parents. Key holder working opposite shifts to the manager.
I left the Nursery to study full time for my level 5 Business degree.
While I was studying full time for my Business degree i worked for a variety of families part time around my classes.
I worked as a part time sole charge nanny for a family with three girls aged 2 years, 4 years and 12 years old one day a week for a year. Providing breakfast, cleaning the kitchen, attending a morning toddler group, providing lunch, cleaning while the youngest slept, when the older children returned from school they would help me cook and then complete homework.
I also worked part time on a short term contract for a family looking after their four week old boy/girl twins three mornings a week. Feeding, changing and putting the twins down for sleep and correctly recording this information. Play time, tummy time and going for walks. Sterilising the bottles and equipment, the kitchen and preparing feeds so that the mum was prepared for the afternoon.
I regularly babysat for a family with a boy four years and girl eight years for two evenings a week for a year. Planning activities, completing homework and putting the Children to bed.
I regularly babysat a family with two boys aged one year and three years one evening a month while the Children were already asleep for a date night.
I worked as a full time sole charge nanny for a family with two boys aged 2 years and 4 years. The role was twelve hour shifts getting the boys ready in the morning, providing them breakfast, loading the dishwasher and cleaning the kitchen, school run, taking the youngest to toddler groups and swimming in the morning, provide lunch and then while the little one slept I would cook dinner and do any cleaning, an afternoon activity, school run, visit to the park, cooking or art activity, provide dinner, load the dishwasher and clean the kitchen, bath time, story time and then bed time routine. Clean and tidy the house and prepare for the next day.
I babysat a three year old girl with Cerebral Palsy making breakfast, taking her to the park, feeding lunch, putting her down for a nap, cleaning while asleep and preparing dinner, visiting the library and making sure everything was clean and tidy at the end of the day.
I worked as a part time sole charge nanny for a family looking after two girls aged 3 years and 6 years. Getting the Children ready in the morning, making and cleaning up breakfast, school drop off, taking the youngest to a morning group, baking activities, Zoo/Park days, School pick up, providing dinner, bath time and getting the Children ready for bed.
I worked as a full time nanny share for two families with two boys both 11 months when started. Getting the boys ready in the morning, providing breakfast, potty training, monitoring and providing treatment for type 1 diabetes. Cleaning the kitchen and playroom, preparing healthy meals for lunch and dinner, going to morning groups, zoo days, going for walks and planning activities. bathing and getting the boys in their pjs ready for bed, babysitting if parents rota required me to stay late.
I worked as a full time sole charge nanny for a family looking after twin boys 7 Months when started. Preparing bottles, baby rice and purée, sterilising equipment, making and freezing purée. Moving on to weaning and making healthy balanced meals. Taking care of bathing and care needs. Cleaning the kitchen and washing clothes. Making and following a routine that meets both their individual needs and giving plenty of cuddles.
I work Saturday daytime looking after two girls aged 4 and 8 years old. Completing an activity, making lunch, playing with playdough, art supplies, puzzles, the Wii, reading stories and having fun.
