About Me
I am a flexible, imaginative and energetic nanny who is full of ideas, imagination and information. I graduated from University in Summer 2013 with a BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies. this equipted me with the skills and knowledge to be a great carer for children. I am very creative and enjoy creating a range of activities for children. I spent 3 years living and working as a nanny in Australia and returned home to the UK 4 years ago. I am very reliable and truthworthy and will always go out of my way to help where needed. I dont see caring for children as a job. It is something which comes very naturally to me and I get such an enjoyment out of it. I have a Full clean UK Driving Licence and my own car which enables me to travel to families, as well as to play groups, activitity clubs etc. I am originally from Manchester but met my partner in Australia and have moved to Solihull to be with him.
My Experience
Prior and during my studies I acquired a large amount of experience caring for children from birth to 10 years. I am very passionate about my role, and ensuring I deliver high quality care and development for children. I am not afraid of mucking in when it comes to child play whether its rolling around on the floor or running around like a headless chicken outside. Anything that the children enjoy and bring a smile to their faces is good enough for me. I was in a range of different placements duing my course, including private day nurseries, pre-school within a primary school, infants and juniors. Outside of my studies I have also worked in a day nursery, and ran a creche in a country club and spa for children ranging from 3 months to 4 years. After graduating i went on a 3 month adventure in Egypt, where i worked in a hotel as part of the animation team. As well as carrying out pool and beach side activities i managed the kids club within the hotel, ensuring a good quality service as well as arranging trips, activities and most importantly LOTS OF FUN!! Upon returning I then worked as a nanny for 18 months before leaving for Australia. In Australia I worked as both an Au pair and a live out nanny for 4 different families during my 3 years there.
My Qualifications
I have a BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies
8 GCSE's grades A-C
3 A Levels grades A-D
Up to date DBS
Paediatric first aid
I am also willing to become OFSTED registered at the families expense if this is required.
My Availability
I am available Monday - Friday and i am very flexible when it comes to hours as i have no major commitments. I would be willing to work into the evening where needed. I am only available after 10am on Mondays and Fridays. The rest of the week I am flexible. to discuss.
