About Me
Hello, my name is Charlotte. I am currently working as an assistant unit manager for a private day nursery which I have been doing for 5 years now. I am now looking to focus on just one family by becoming a full-time nanny. Working with children is something that I have always wanted to do and most of all is something that I really enjoy! I feel that my strengths are; building good relationships, honesty, trust and communication.
Responsibilities
I have many responsibilities which include:
- Caring for the children and following their daily routine
- Leading a team of 8 staff members
- Cleaning
- Planning activities and carrying out activities implementing the EYFS.
- Writing observations and making learning journals for 10 key children
- Creating display boards
- Health and safety

I find that working in a nursery, watching and helping the children grow and develop is very rewarding. I feel that we play a major role in their lives. I help the children reach their next steps and enjoy seeing them reach their goals. I have a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare, Learning and Development and am also first aid trained. Whilst working I have also completed a safeguarding course, a child protection course and a working with 2 year olds course. Before working in a nursery I worked in a children's play centre as a party host for 2 years whilst studying for my qualification. I also attended work placement in a local nursery 2 days a week and a local primary school 2 days a week. I am now looking to become a nanny full time.
My Experience
From 2011 I worked in a children's play centre for 2 years,
Whilst studying at college to achieve my Level 3 Diploma in childcare, learning and development. I also attended work placement 2 days per week in a local primary school and then in local nursery for 2 days a week.
When qualified in June 2013 I moved on to work at Old macdonald's day nursery until current date.
