About Me
My name is Lucy, I am 30 Years old.
We have a daughter who is 10 and attends school in Tadley, and a son who is 4 who started school in September.
I qualified a Level 2 in Childcare and Education back in 2007 and went straight from college into a nursery setting. After a year of working in the nursery a family approached me to become their sole charge nanny, for their 2 girls 9 months and 2 years old. I worked with the family up until I was 8 months pregnant, and after my maternity leave was made redundant as the mother lost her job.
Since then I have tried my hand in an office for a care company as well out in the community supporting the elderly.
I have then worked in another nursery, and have also been an afterschool nanny, this position sadly came to an end in 2013 due to changing needs of both my home life and the family I cared for.
I recently left my role as a deputy care home manager with a company who helped me achieve a level 3 in Health and Social Care and following that, my foundation degree.
I recently started a new career in Community Therapy within Southern Health.
I am kind and warm hearted and as you can see I have always worked in the care industry, at both ends of the spectrum. I am also a parent, so I understand sometimes how difficult being a mum can be!

My Experience
I have worked with children ages 3months-5years & also have 2 of my own.
I studied childcare at nursery, and immediately got offered a full time position at the nursery in which i completed my work experience. I went on from there to become a sole charge nanny for 2 girls for a year, they were aged 18 months & 3 years at the time, their parents pulled them out of nursery when i left as she wanted me to look after them so i have known them over 5 years. I continued to work for them adhoc after having my daughter who i used to take with me.
I also have experience with children who have learning difficulties.
