When leaving the house to take Finlay (1 year old) to see Jenny, I always see his excitement walking down the road, once the door opens he’s in the house and playing with all the toys and talking with the other children Jenny looks after.

Finlay always expresses what he has done during the day as if it was like being with Mary Poppins. His descriptive ways are very detailed and I can have a full conversation with him, where he understands everything I say and can give me a descriptive answer.

I have watched Finlay play with the other children and he always comes back home talking about them and how much fun they have had during the day. He always asks for the other children when he is at home and also talks about other children he has met during play days.

The amount of communication amazes me every day on how well he can talk to me. I have been to a few NCT parties in the past and in my perception I talk to other children like I talk to Finlay however it seems that Finlay’s talking is at more of an advanced level. None of the other children were talking back to me. When I watched Finlay playing with them, he would ask them questions but he would never get an answer back.

From Jenny’s methods of childcare Finlay has been able to watch other children grow and learn and able to take this in himself and develop from it.
From the first time Finlay met with Jenny at 6 months old he created a bond between them. From my wife, Jenny was the only person who held Finlay during their first meet, other child carer’s just talked business but didn’t see to show an interest to Finlay. When I met Jenny, I wanted to see Finlay’s reaction when he was with her and he smiled throughout the whole visit.

Jenny’s flexibility has been amazing for our family, as we are both working parents traveling to London and Surrey for work, we can never predict what will happen. Jenny has always welcome our request for an early drop off or a late collect due to traffic with open arms.

We are very happy with Finlay’s progress with Jenny as we love to see the monthly photos that she sends to us. Jenny has opened her whole family to Finlay and they all have a bond with him, he likes to talk about them to us at home on what they have been doing too.

Jenny is very welcoming with any feedback too, we started have an issue with Finlay not eating his dinner so we asked Jenny not to give him any food after 5pm, Jenny has stuck to this rules and lets Finlay understand this.

Jenny had become a very big part of Finlay’s life and he see her as a safe person to go to. He has a very special bond with Jenny and always wants to be around with her. I think Jenny has been an excellent role model for Finlay and his personality has developed so much.
