i am a registered child minder based in Llanishen with 31 years of experience in caring for children. I have been married to my husband Des for 43 years. My husband is registered as my assistant which allows me to be more flexible with the childcare that I provide. He has attended and completed the courses that are expected by the CIW.
I have 3 grown up children and 5 grandchildren
I have a spacious 3 bedroom home with a living room, large kitchen/diner room, utility room and a disabled bathroom downstarirs. We also have a large conservatory which extends out to an extremely large enclosed garden with decking. I have a ramp at the front of the house for easy access.
Everyone in my family are CRB checked.
I have 1 dog a Bichon Frise and 2 cats that are all fully inoculated.
i am a member of PACEY (professional association for childcare and early years) with whom i have public liability insurance.
All food is provided by the parents and will be appropriately stored for each child

My Experience
I have been child minding successfully for over 31 years and am very proud of the service that i provide.
I regularly take the chldren out to different play areas and provide a number of activities ranging from singing, dancing, drawing/colouring, arts and crafts, playdough, dressing up, role play, books, games, cooking and a huge range of other activities and outings.
My Qualifications
My husband and I have a current First Aid Certificate in Paediatric Life Saving that is specific to childminders. We also attend regular child protection courses to keep up to date.
I have achieved in getting my NVQ Level 2 in early years care and education and also my CACHE level 1, 2 and 3 which makes up my CCP awards in childminding practice. Other qualifications i have are certificates in food hygiene and City and Guilds 706/1 in catering.
My husband is a qualified chef and is now a retired occupational therapist specialising in mental health and nursing.

Nanny Sue is our childminder for almost a year now and we can't fault her :) amazing lady very helpful,professional and caring she is more like our friend now :) my son's love going to her house always loads to do in there and she takes them out for daytrips etc too.
She also provides home cooked meals for them my boys are mad for their spaghetti bolognese!!!
Her family is very helpful too honestly the best decision we ever made is to leave our boys with nanny!!
