Hi, I am currently teaching part time and therefore have availability and flexibility to offer tutoring services to individuals or small groups of children. I have been teaching since 2001 and am also mother to 3 children. I have experience of working with pupils with additional needs and have a specialism in the teaching of reading and writing at all levels. My fees can be flexible based on requirements and can be discussed at a more detailed level. I can offer support with specific learning needs, extra tuition or catch up sessions due to covid.

I would highly recommend Sophie as a tutor. She has been tutoring my son since August, initially for the 11+ exam, however we were so impressed with the improvement he has made with his English that we decided to continue the sessions. Sophie is always prompt for each session, very friendly and professional in her approach and makes sure to detail the learnings that have happened for each week. Definitely consider using Sophie as a tutor!

Thank you so much. What a lovely review. As you know, I just absolutely love my job and find teaching so rewarding and enjoyable.
We made the decision to homeschool our two children, with the help of a tutor, due to their anxiety levels, sensory difficulties, and a couple of years of sporadic school refusal.
From initial contact with Sophie, she immediately put us at ease. She understood our needs and was respectful and non judgmental.
Sophie assessed their learning levels, tailored their learning individually to their interests and SEN requirements. By the end of the first lesson they were both engaged and enjoying themselves. She took the time to get to know them and their quirks and they have a strong relationship because of it.
As parents looking for a supportive, nurturing and skilled tutor, we highly recommend Sophie. But the biggest endorsement is our kids love learning with her.
