About Me
My name is Rachael, I'm 36 years old and I live in Hemel Hempstead. I have a 7 year old son who I’m home educating. I also volunteer with children in Foster Care and find it so fulfilling to be able to help vulnerable children.
I have always wanted to work in childcare from a young age. Connecting with children tends to happen very naturally for me because of my nurturing and caring nature.
I have thoroughly enjoyed working as a nanny and childminder for the last 7 years.
I’m now Ofsted registered to look after children from 4 years of age. I provide after school care and childcare services for children who are home educated. Please do get in touch if you are looking for someone to collect your little one(s) from school or perhaps you are home educating and would like some help with childcare. I’m also available during school holidays if this is a requirement you have.
My Experience
I have extensive experience looking after little ones from newborn to school age. I have always had regular babysitting jobs and have been working as a nanny and a childminder for the last 7 years. I absolutely love looking after children! I’m a great believer in investing as much time as we can into the things we are most passionate about so here I am.
My Qualifications
I am Ofsted registered, I have completed the EYFS Childcare Training, Paediatric First Aid Course and have a recent DBS certificate. I also have plenty of hands on experience. I’m more than happy to provide reference details if required for the previous families I have worked for.

Rachel looked after my daughter when she was around 1,5 years old , ( and sometimes she still looks after her , she is 2,5 years old now ) My daughter was so clingy baby ( lock down ) so I was very nervous she won't bond with anyone , and generally I was nervous to leave my baby with anyone . We just moved to the city , so we did not know anyone here , but after we met with Rachel I felt relief .
Im not worried even for a second when she is looking after my daughter ! My daughter is crazy about her, she always want to go to her , and sometimes she does not want to come home :)
Rachel is fantastic, she always make sure my daughter is safe, and she always doing different kind of activities inside and outside as well, when my daughter enjoys a lot !
Rachel has his son, and she is very experienced in many ways, sometimes I asked her advice .. like potty training .
I can not recommend her enough !

I remember how anxious I was to ask a stranger to look after my most precious thing in life, and, if you are reading this review, you are likely feeling the same - I want to reassure you that I would not write this review if I had any doubts to recommend Rachael. She looked after my daughter for 6 years without a single issue.
I always felt safe in the knowledge that my daughter was in her care.
She is flexible with her time, honest and understanding.
From the start (2016) my daughter adored Rachael and her son.
Rachael has a very calming personality – she spends quality time talking with my daughter, actively listens and genuinely cares. It is clear to me that working as a nanny is a passion for Rachael. She loves working with children and I saw this manifest in her communication and opportunities she created to learn through play. Cooking, art, slime-making etc...rather than just leaving her in-front of a TV or iPad.
Ultimately, Rachel is an excellent childminder because she is so trustworthy and like family
