About Me
Hi! My name is Sarah-Jane! I am a mother to a beautiful little girl who was four in July and a adventurous little boy who was one in August. I am a qualified primary school teacher specialising in the Early Years Foundation Stage. Since having my daughter I have decided to stay at home with her and child mind as I loved my job as a teacher very much. I am Ofsted registered and 1st Aid trained. I enjoy cooking, gardening, spending time outdoor and I love animals.
My Experience
Before qualifying as a primary school teacher I have worked in a variety of educational and child care settings.
As the oldest of 36 (and counting) cousins I have always looked after children and therefore so child care as a natural career path for me. I was a part time nanny for a local family during university. Following my studies I worked in play groups and after school clubs. I also volunteers in teen support center (Step-Ahead) and holiday clubs.
In my quest to find the perfect job for me I worked in a variety of schools. My experiences in primary, secondary and special needs schools led me to study qualify as a primary school teacher. I have worked as a teacher in three different schools and have loved each one. In my latest school my teaching was commented on as 'outstanding' in the OfSted report.
My Qualifications
I have completed the childminding CYPOP5 course.
I am a qualified primary school teacher.
I have a degree in Psychology where I specialised in developmental psychology.
My Availability
