About Me
Welcome to Sarah Louise Childcare! We are Sarah and Clare, both Ofsted registered Childminders, and we have two children, Thomas and Eleanor. Sarah has been childminding since September 2014 and Clare completed her training and qualified as a Childminder in December 2017.
We aim to provide a welcoming, friendly and fun environment for the children we care for from our home on Upper Culver Road in the Bernards Heath area of St Albans, just a few doors away from Bernards Heath Infant School and a short walk away from the Junior School.
SLC offers Wraparound care from 7.30am-drop off, then pick-up to 6.10pm. Predominantly term-time only, we do offer limited holiday care during some school holidays.
We have Breakfast Club every morning for school-aged children where children can enjoy a healthy breakfast and a range of fun activities before school. After school children have access to lots of toys, arts and crafts activities and books and we offer a healthy, nutritious evening meal.

My Experience
Sarah has previous experience as a singing/musical theatre teacher working with young children, and before having Thomas looked after three children (siblings aged 4.5 months, 9 and 11 years at the start of care) from November 2012 to June 2013 for an average of 18 hours per week. This included school pick ups, assisting with weaning and cooking an evening meal. After this she was on maternity leave and then completed a childminding course through PACEY.
Since September 2014 she has been childminder to several children aged between 6months and 9 years, a mixture of hours including school wrap-around, nursery pick-up and holiday care.
Clare joined Sarah Louise Childcare from April 2018, having registered with Ofsted in January 2018 after completing NCFE Cache Level 3 Award in Preparing To Work In Home Based Childcare.
