Our son has been attending the setting at Berkeley Childminding now for almost 4 years and we're still so pleased with our choice.

When we started looking for childcare, we wanted a home from home feel and somewhere that would offer him a range of activities including lots of outdoor exploration. Our expectations have been completely fulfilled, not only has he benefitted from trips to local parks, beaches and tourist attractions (zoo , aquarium, national trust properties) but the level of early years education that he has received has been outstanding, which is reflected in the latest Ofsted report.

In addition to the time spent exploring , he also attends regular phonics and french classes each week, which he really enjoys.

His reading, writing and numeracy are at an excellent level for starting school in September , as are his social skills due to the lovely friendships he has made during his time here.

I'm so pleased that we picked a smaller, more intimate setting over a nursery environment, as I believe it has benefitted him so much and i always felt reassured when leaving him to go to work. The setting is homely and nurturing and communication when necessary during the day, has been fantastic. Receiving a random picture of him enjoying himself was sometimes just what I needed!

Every child has an in depth 'Learning Journey' kept, to documentate their development in each key area, which also contains lots of photos and pieces of art etc that they have produced, which apart from being necessary for educational requirements, is invaluable as a reflection on those precious early years.

I honestly can't recommend this provider enough, absolutely superb!
