About Me
I am a Professionally qualified and Accredited early years childminder and have an OFSTED rating of OUTSTANDING. I have a first class degree in early childhood studies (child development and education) and have Professional Quality Assurance from the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (formerly NCMA). I have lived in Ormskirk all of my life and I have been an OFSTED registered childminder for local families since 2001. I live in a spacious four bedroom house with a large playroom and garden close to the town centre.
I am a member of the local support group for childminders, I am a member of the local Children Come First Network based within the Children's Centre.
Children in my care take part in activiies that promote their development through play to reach their own potential and have fun in a 'home from home' environment.

My Experience
I am an accredited childminder I provide first class education through play for young children and I am able to offer free nursery education for children over three years of age funded by the local council. I have Healthy School Status and therefore provide healthy choices in both food and physical exercise for children. I am a childminding mentor, supporting other childminder in the area to ensure quality of care at their settings and I also provide peer support for the professional association. I have first aid training specific to babies and children and Safeguarding training. I attend regular training to keep my service updated.
My Qualifications
I have a first class honours degree in child development, child education and social sciences (BA Hons) am qualified as a post 16 teacher (PETLL) and an NVQ level 3 in childcare and education. I am an active member of the National Association of Childminders and I attend regular training and keep up to date on developments related to children and childcare.
I am dedicated to providing a fun, active day for young children with plenty of experiences which will enhance their learning. I develop a close relationship with all the families of the children and work with parents to provide the care that they require for their child.
