Hi,
I'm Elly I'm 51 and I did work as a learning mentor assisting children with learning issues/ difficulties/ health implications at a local school in St clements Truro Cornwall a few years ago I work as a P.A in the daytime which involves supporting my client at an animal rescue centre which is great !
I live very close to Luxulyan and will happily travel up to a 20 mile radius( further if a long shift e.g. night sit etc ) if the length of the shift covers travelling time and fuel costs.I have a car and full licence .On an over night shift I need to be at work by 0830 in St Austell on a week day.
I am very bubbly,enjoy having fun,have a great deal of patience and a young outlook on life.I like to see children making the most of the outdoors,encouraging play and exercise.I am a yoga fan and qualified to teach ,I practice as much as possible and understand the benefits to keeping fit and healthy.Get in touch if you need an experienced professional, I am not registered as this has never been a full-time work commitment but I have an enhanced D.B.S check and experience in many care settings.
My Experience
I have over twenty years experience within care,anything from hospitals to private homes within the community,care of the elderly,baby sitting/ child minding , specialist autism experience / challenging behaviours ,mental health,learning difficulties,residential placements and anything from a 1 hour shift to 48 hours.
I have my NVQ 3 in health & social care and have attended many one to two day training courses in first aid,manual handling saffegarding to name a few .
I have experience with life limiting conditions ,and a very wide scope of experience and skills gained over the years in various care settings.I do not have a childcare qualification as such but do have my NVQ in health & social care and six years experience with the children I supported.
I worked within the art department of a local special needs school and have attended a talk and draw art course so I am able to deliver this therapy.
I have experience with animals,cats,dogs,chickens etc and house sits.I currently do a couple of hours a week with the same child of over three years now which I secured on this site and it has been an amazing journey watching her growing up and being involved in her life .

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
Variable dependant on the day/ length of the shift and nature of the work for Weekend cover,over night sits,long days etc ,longer shifts e.g over night fee is negotiable,£12 an hour is for slots of four hours or less this enables mileage cover,rates reduced for longer periods ,fees can be negotiable for all sits.
