Live in full time nanny
At the moment I am working as a nanny for a 7 year old girl, a 5,5 year old boy and a 3 year old girl. I have been working with this family for 7 years and enjoy it very much.
September 2017- now

Teaching assistant and health promotion volunteer
While my husband was working as a medical volunteer for a charity organization in Belize, I did a couple of health promotion projects for the same organization that involved both children and adults focussing on hygiene education. On the weekends I made the waiting area of the medical clinic and the physiotherapy centre more child friendly by making wall paintings and collecting toys and books. I also volunteered once a week at a local school in a class with special needs children.

Au pair
I looked after twin baby boys from when they were born. I did the boys laundry, prepared all their meals, fed them, bathed them and put them to bed. I held on to a set schedule and took them to parks, libraries and playgroups. At home I sang and read a lot to them. When the babies were just born I also looked after them for about an extra 3 nights a week.

I looked after a 5 year old boy in London. Tasks included, cooking, cleaning, laundry, washing the boy, home work support and tutoring.

I replaced teachers who worked at one of the 12 primary schools who were part of this Christian school community. I replaced in different classes from reception to year 6. I replaced a teacher for 1 day or sometimes for several days in a row. I had to make sure I taught the children all the subjects that were scheduled that day which included: mathematics, theology, Dutch, reading, writing, English, history, geography, PE, music and drawing.Other tasks included making schedules for the next teaching day or whole week and structuring the classroom. I also worked as a remedial teacher at one school helping children with Dutch as a second language and helping children who were behind with mathematics or reading and writing.
