About Me
My name is Maureen. I am a qualified, Ofsted registered, loving, happy, caring, bubbly and most importantly trustworthy person. I drive and have lived locally for more 15 years.
I have been childminding in Lane End for 5 years and all the children in my care have come through recommendations.
I offer a 'home from home' service and provide freshly cooked homemade meals if required.
I live in a bungalow with a large garden and is situated very close to Lane End and Frieth School. I am within walking distance of Lane End Children's Centre
All children love outdoors so the covered outdoor area as well as a large open garden area accessible for children at all times.
School drop offs available to Lane End and Frieth.
School pick up available from Lane End and Frieth.
My Experience
I draw on the experience of bringing up my own children and grandchildren.
I have achieved successfully all basic qualifications to work and to provide care from home for children - QCF (Qualifications and Credited Framework) to provide a home based childcare service.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.75 per hour
From September 2019 my fees will be:
My fees are chargeable at £5.75 per hour or part thereof
Before & after School care £5.75 per hour or part thereof.
Unsocial hours outside 08:00 - 18:00 are chargeable at for £8.00 per hour or part thereof
Childcare Vouchers accepted.
School holidays also catered for.
Meals can be provided at an additional cost. Please ask.
The schools I currently drop off/pick up from are Lane End Primary and Frieth. Canmore End would be a possibility if there is a requirement

Maureen has looked after my son after school three days a week for the last two years.. she is everything you would want in a childminder and my son has thoroughly enjoyed his time with her She is fair and friendly whilst always being professional. She is always willing to help with Anything including homework! You can tell she genuinely cares about the children in her care which makes the transition to having a childminder so much easier
I am very grateful for all she has done for both of us. she is now a part of our lives and that won’t change when my son goes to secondary school

Maureen has looked after our daughter for a year, pre and after school plus holiday cover. Our daughter has enjoyed her time with Maureen and has grown in confidence. The children are kept busy with activities and she always keeps them entertained. Maureen is also happy to support with homework and help by working with us in any areas where we need to jointly support development of our little one. Maureen's great helping with communication with the school and is caring and fun. Our Daughter likes the meals that Maureen provides also. No hesitation to recommend Maureen's services.

Thank you very much for this review Simone. Your daughter is a pleasure to care for. All the children love her in the setting.
Maureen has been caring for my two children, after school for a year now and she goes out of her way to make sure that they are happy and safe. She collects my children from Frieth CEC School each day.
In addition, she plays an active interest in ensuring that the children have every opportunity to achieve and establishes a good understanding of what the children are doing at school and whether she needs to provide support for them with homework, projects etc. whilst she is caring for them. She has a good range of resources within the setting and a large garden which keeps the children active after school.
Maureen goes out of her way to be flexible and supportive to both the children and the parents. She adapts her service to meet the needs of individual children.
I would recommend Maureen if you are looking for a childminder in the Lane End/Frieth area. My children do not eat at the setting therefore a rating for food is not included.

my daughter who is 17 and has special needs is very happy to come to maureen every other Saturday, my daughters exact words "she likes to go out with maureen and do shopping "and helping her with life skills.
My daughter has said" maureen is funny and treats me with respect and values my opinion".My daughter has had past childminders and out reach services and she has not been happy due to the lack of understanding and this is what makes maureen different in taking the time and patience to get to know her,I would recommend her fully.

Maureen has looked after our son for a year now and she has been fantastic with him. He really enjoys spending time with her and has grown in confidence over the year. Maureen is willing to go the extra mile with him in terms of school work and fun days out. We can thoroughly recommend.
