About Me
My name is Gloria Fagbenro and I am OFSTED registered. I am the Proprietor of Grace D' Childminder. I am married with 4 grown up children with grandchildren.
My childcare children have nicknamed me Mama G and I have been stuck with this wonderful name for years now - even parents prefer to call me by this name.
I have a lovely, warm and out-going personality which has always helped me to build nurturing and supportive environments for children and adults alike.
I am a firm advocate for learning through play and I welcome my parents' input with regards to their child’s learning. Each child's learning is of course child-centred and based on developing through every day interaction. Learning to share, care, respect and appreciate others is fundamental and parental support and positive input into their child’s general development in life is greatly welcomed as their progression is paramount.
My Experience
Having been in childcare for over 25 years I have worked in different capacities as a Trainee play Therapist at Great Ormond Children Hospital. I have been a registered childminder for over 11years and have also cared and worked with children and parents as a Nursery Practitioner in schools and children centres. I have worked as a support worker with Special needs children (Autism) and those with learning difficulties to attained certain learming ability in their development.
I have supported new mothers and their babies on how to best care for their babies physically and emotionally.
I am conversant with the Early Years Foundation Stage/Status which highlights the 7 areas of learning. This has been divided into 2 categories, being the Prime Areas (Physical development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Communication/Language) and the Specific Areas which are Mathematics, Expressive Arts & Design, Literacy and Understanding the World. Each of these areas are actively employed and implemented into the daily activities in my childcare setting.
Each child always has fun and many have been known to not want to leave such a homely environment.
My Qualifications
NVQ L3 Diploma ChildCare Assessor.
BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Home-based Childcare
BA Honours Psychosocial Studies with Professional Studies (with specialism in Autism and Special Needs)
GCSE English and Mathematics (City and Guilds)

Monday - Friday; 07:30 - 18:00
Excluding Easter, Christmas, Bank Holidays (optional) and the last week in August
Flexible hours and days.Also I do pick and drop from local school: Castilion Primary School.
