About Me
Hi, I am Leanne. I am 34 years old. I live in a lovely estate next to a nature reserve and chasewater in Norton Canes. I live with my husband (a teacher), our 3 boys who are 10,9 and 3. I work from my home running Leanne’s Learn and Explore Childminding Service which can be found online. I also work with 2 lovely assistants for part of the week. We were graded Outstanding in September 2022. We are well known within our community and this is built into our ethos.
I have a passion for working with children and I provide a safe home from home environment.
We like to spend a lot of time outdoors visiting local parks, farms, nature reserves, zoo, soft play, libraries and playgroups. I am also a forest childcare provider. I follow the EYFS and use next steps and topics to support the children through different fun and interesting topics.
Our home is spacious and is equipped with lots of toys, books and crafts. Our garden is secure, flat and has its own huge mud kitchen area, sensory and exploration area, a decking stage area, growing and planting area and lots of outside toys.
I will be helping your child to develop, grow and be nurtured through learning activities, baking, arts and crafts, messy play, sensory play, stories, role play and free play. We have so much fun!
I track your child’s development against the EYFS, then plan activities and play to meet their next steps. I communicate with parents daily with photos and send a copy of child’s development home. Lunch, snacks and drinks are provided.
My Experience
I have worked in EYFS teaching in reception at school for the last 5 years and whilst on maternity leave I decided to continue with my passion and set up as a childminder, which I have done since June 2019.
I will continue to follow the EYFS (like a nursery) helping your child to develop and learn through play and different experiences.

My Availability
My hours will be 7.30-5.30 but hours can be arranged to suit if possible. I may be able to help with weekends where needed at a different rate.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.95 per hour
My fee includes a variety of healthy snacks, Breakfast before 8am, lunch, drinks and regular outings to attractions, play groups, sensory group etc
Any baby formula, baby food for starting weaning, nappies and wipes will need to be provided by parents.
All fees will be invoiced in advance, monthly.
I accept Tax free and Funded Spaces.

Our little boy has been with Leanne since Sept 2020. He started in a nursery setting but after the first lockdown he struggled to settle back in so we decided to look for a childminder and this was the best decision we could have made. We feel so lucky to have found Leanne. She treats our little boy as if he was one of her own. He goes on regular trips out and the difference from him starting to now is amazing even to the point where he doesn’t want to come home!! We have regular communications with Leanne throughout the days he is there. Leanne has really helped with his separation anxiety and to bring him out of his shell. She takes the time to get to know the children and the parents. We are updated with his development and what areas he needs to work on but most of all our little boys is constantly learning by exploring, being outside, playing and having that one to one support that Leanne offers has seen him grow into a confident, inquisitive and happy little boy. The best decision we could have made and we highly recommend Leanne.

Leanne’s setting was the home from home environment I was looking for. It took me all of 30 seconds to decide that Leanne was the one, and I have never regretted my decision since. Leanne genuinely cares for all the children in her setting and you can see that in the effort she puts into her constant day trips out, nature walks and home activities. My daughter certainly thrives with Leanne and rarely gives me a backwards glance when she’s there. The parents Whatsapp group is definite positive to the experience too!

My son has been going to Leanne since he was 7 months old. She is exceptional. She is communicative to us as parents and is loving, educational and fun for our son. I could not ask any more from her. She treats him like one of her own and he loves going to see her and his friends each week. I cannot thank her enough.

My baby has been with Leanne for 2 months and she has already had such a positive impact on him and has really helped with his social skills, sensory awareness and weaning. She has been so patient, caring and accommodating for his needs and I appreciate everything she has done. Leanne regularly sends photos to me and keeps me up to date with what he’s been up to. I’m definitely happy with the service and care she provides.

My daughter started at Leanne’s setting in June, when I was in a situation that I needed a childminder on very short notice Leanne did her best to accommodate my needs providing amazing care for my daughter from day one, she truly makes all her children feel at home and part of her family, my daughter has thrived since spending 2 days a week in Leanne’s care, they have been on so many amazing trips over the summer holidays and always take part in fun filled activities both at Leanne’s house and out in the community, she is so welcoming and caters to all her children’s needs, taking note of their interests and incorporating them into her planned activities, I definitely feel like I struck gold choosing her to look after my daughter, she always goes above and beyond to make sure the children are having fun and are well looked after, her communication with parents is excellent sending us pictures throughout the day via WhatsApp so we can see our little monkeys while they’re with her, I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an incredible childminder if I could rate her higher than 5 stars I most definitely would!
