About Me
I am a 52 years old ofsted registered childminder and have been for 19 1/2 years. I live in the KT1 area of kingston/surbiton. I'm married with three grown up girls ages 27, 22 & 20 of which two of them are nannies themsleves and one an interior designer. We also have a indoors giant house rabbit named buttons, who is very child friendly which over the last few years of having him all the children i have looked after have bonded quite well with him. I have always found the children i've childminded through word of mouth. I enjoy cooking and baking and encourage the children to join in with any cooking or baking activities. I have a full clean uk driving license and my car is insured for childminding. I offer a home from home friendly environment for the children. I have a wide assortment of toys, books & games for all ages, i also take the children out on various outings i.e soft play, libary, playgroups, farms, parks etc. i also provide various indoor activities such as arts & craft, role play & dress up. I have a reasonable size garden with garden toys. I have a separate room upstairs for the children to have a nap in a travel cot. I usually start work from around 7am and finish around 6pm but i'm quite flexible to parents needs as i have done in the past. I provide healthy amd nutritious meals & snacks and cater for all dietary needs, but parents are welcome to provide food if wanted to.
I live about 5 minutes walk from berrylands station and about 10 minutes from surbiton station. I am also on the k1 & k4 bus route and there are two stops at the end of my road for that bus route.
The aim of my work is to make the children i care for safe comfortable & happy just like they would be in their own home.
My Experience
I am first aid trained which i always keep up to date. I have attended various child development related courses such as the EYFS (early years foundation stage) training for childminders & exploring letters & sounds for home based childminders. I also have attended child protection and safeguarding courses which i keep up to date with. I'm also CRB checked aswell as everyone else living in this household. I still aim to attend courses to increase the quality of the setting.
I am registered with KCMA (kingston childminding association) and also hold a public liability insurance certificate for my work.
I also have knowledge of medical requirments as i used to work in a care home and pharmancy for over 10 years before becoming a childminder.
I have alot of experience with newborns as i childminded a baby from when he was 7 days old up until he was 2 years old.
My experience has been with children of ages newborn to 12 years old.

My Fees
I charge £7 an hour but i also do sibling rates which can be discussed. I accept childecare vouchers, currently I'm registered with a few different voucher companys.
