I am an honest, friendly and kind individual and I have a passion for caring for babies and children. I am 27 years old and have a first class degree in children’s nursing. I am currently working on the neonatal unit at Birmingham Women's hospital. I am laid back and enjoy having fun with babies and children. I find them fascinating and I love teaching them new things! My current availability is full time with a 3 month notice period at my current job.
My Experience
I have worked with children since I was 15. I have done voluntary work in various nurseries, Montessori's and special needs schools. I have worked at Poole hospital on the children's ward and on the neonatal unit caring for preterm babies as well as the maternity unit caring for mothers and babies. I have also picked up summer jobs working in various different nurseries though an agency which I thoroughly enjoyed. I worked on the children's ward for just over a year at Southampton hospital caring for sick patients and their families. I now work on a neonatal intensive care unit in Birmingham and have 3 years experience caring for extremely sick preterm babies up to special care babies almost ready for home!
I have a DBS form, I also have first aid training and a food and hygiene qualification. I have basic life support training for adults, intermediate children's life support and have recently undertaken a neonatal life support course.
My Qualifications
I have 11 GCSE's, 3 A levels and gained 60 credits at level 3 in an access to health professions course which is the equivalent of a diploma. I have a first class honours degree in children's nursing. I have another university course for neonatal speciality training.
