About Me
My name is samira and I am 42 years old, the Name of my childminder Service is "Darling Angels". I am Registered with SCSWIS (Care Inspectorate) and a member of SCMA( Scottish Childminding Association). I live in the Anniesland area, in a charming home (Your child or children will have the enjoyment of a large dedicated play room in my sunny home) in a quiet and safe place which is easily accessible by car (I have a full clean UK driving license and my own transport) or bus and is on route to the city centre, close to Knightswood Primary School. I am married and live with my husband and our two children (twins). Our boys are 5 years old, they started School in August at Knightswood Primary.
My Experience
I have lots of experience with children of all age. I have always loved to work with children and I am hoping that this project will be a door for a successful career.
My recent work experience is at Knightswood Primary School, where I work as a volunteer, this allowed me to work with a team and I had a direct contact with children. Few years back I graduated from University with a degree which I did in French.
My Qualifications
I have completed the SCMA Induction Training Course in childminding; I acquired the Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate (from The Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland) and I have completed a course in Parenting Matters (Parent Network Scotland), I hold a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate for children. I and my husband have both the PVG. I am member of SCMA (Scottish Childminder Association) I regularly attend training courses in order to further my knowledge:
- Early Literacy Network Meeting
- Working with ADHD and the Autism Spectrum Workshop
- Safe and Secure: Child Protection workshop
My Availability
I am available from 7.30am to 6.30pm (Monday to Friday) and the hours can be flexible (if care is needed outside of these hours then I am happy to discuss this).
I offer full and part-time options.
I provide care for babies and children of all ages and I can also pick up your child from your home within a certain distance. School and nursery runs are also available at Knightswood Primary School and at Rowena Nursery School near my home.
I have my Policies and Procedures(Welcome Pack) which will be given to parents/carers at the settling-in period.
