Hi! I am a 45 year old Kiwi who has been living and working as a sole charge, professional nanny in London for 20 years. I have a Bachelor of Education and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I worked for a short time as a Kindergarten teacher in New Zealand, but found I preferred the one-on-one interaction with the children I was teaching/taking care of.
I have been with the same family for 18 years*, since the eldest was 9 months old. As the boys have grown up and become more independant, I have worked with several families looking after their babies and toddlers before they transition to school. I am again looking for part time work (some mornings and Fridays), ideally with under 5 year olds.
I also do storytelling shows for 3-6 year olds and have recently completed an online course in writing children's stories.
I chose childcare as a career as I have a genuine love for working with kids and watching them grow and develop in the best way possible! I hope to find a family who is like minded, so we can work as a team and provide their little ones with a safe, secure and happy environment to learn and play!
*except for a year spent teaching in NZ in 2005

We would not hesitate to recommend Rebecca as a nanny or babysitter. She is incredibly reliable, trustworthy and very importantly has a very natural affinity with children. Our children adored her and still ask (even though we have relocated) when we will see her. She encourages imaginative and creative play and there was always a lot of fun noise and laughter when she visited. We used her for one or two morning per week so Mum (still stay at home) could have some 'me time' and we also used her in the evenings sometimes.
