About Us
Abacus Pre School has 4 settings within South Gloucestershire based in Mangotsfield, Stoke Gifford and two in Bradley Stoke.
We care for children from the age of 2-4 years and also provide funded places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds to those eligable.
We have obtained Outstanding in one of our setting and Good in the other three.
We provide high quality child care throughout all of our settings. All staff have a DBS check and are given regular relevant staff training where required. Staff have a qualification of level 2 or above in every setting.
All staff are key workers to children within the preschool and we have an electronic journal system, where staff upload observations and pictures on a regular basis for their key children. Parents/carers can access and also have regular input into their child's learning journals.
We have a very strong working relationship with our parents across all settings and encourage parents to be as much involved as they can with their child's learning whilst at preschool.
We encourage independence and creative thinking and offer free flow play throughout the day every day.
We pride ourselves on a high quality childcare provision and ensure every child matters and achieves through their learning journey whilst at preschool.
We plan through children s interests and observe and extend their interests through the 7 areas of the EYFS. We are open 39 weeks of the year.
The Manager at Mangotsfield has 13 years experience with a BA Honours Degree in Early Childhood Studies. The Deputy Manager has over 16 years experience and has been at Abacus since 2016.

Our Fees
- Childcare from £17.50 per morning
- Childcare from £15.00 per afternoon
- Childcare from £30.00 per day
Morning Session: 9:00am-12:30pm
Afternoon Session: 12:30pm-3:30pm
All day session: 9:00am-3:00pm
We offer extended care sessions at an additional charge starting at 8.30am and finishing at 3.30pm.
Abacus hourly rate is currently £6.00 for 2-3yr olds and £5.00 for 3-4yr olds from the month after their 3rd birthday (prices are subject to change).

We accept Nursery Education Grant through South Gloucestershire Council for children eligible to 2,3 or 4yr old funding. If you are eligable you will be entitled to 15 hours of free childcare.
