About Me
My name is Susan Blaney; I am a registered Childminder with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) and a member of the Professional Association for Childcare Early Years (PACEY).
In line with the recommendation of the National Minimum Standards for Childminding Standard 15; I am registered for 6 children under the age of 12.
I am married and have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren, whom your child will on occasion meet.
I have a family dog and even though he is friendly and loving, he has his own area separate from the children.
The layout of my living room does change to suit the children’s needs, while still providing a spacious, child friendly area.
My services are open to ALL children and your Child’s individual needs will be discussed in depth to ensure I deliver the best possible care.
I would like to make you aware my toilet is on the first floor and for this reason your child can only use the toilet under supervision; dependent on age and ability.
I have a safe and secure garden with a patio/decking area which your child can access without supervision dependent on age and ability, as I am able to see them through my kitchen window and bi-folding doors, while I prepare snacks etc.
I do not have a lane door which is an extra safety benefit, while your child is playing.
I consider myself very lucky as I have a Woodland on my doorstep, home to a variety of wildlife and beautiful walks; which your child could access and benefit from.
My Experience
I have been childminding since January 2011. I have lived in Wales all my life and work through the medium of English; I am able to teach your Child a few basic welsh words e.g. colours and numbers. All other languages are welcome and respected within my setting.
I create a warm welcoming environment that encourages acceptable behaviour by praising positive behaviour and being consistent with my expectations, while ensuring your Child will be given every opportunity to develop, benefit from my knowledge and experience and will treat your child, as I would my own.
My service are open to ALL children and your Child’s individual needs will be discussed in depth to ensure I deliver the best possible care.

My Qualifications
I have a wide range of other qualifications which include;
* Play Worker CACHE Level 2
* 12 Hour Paediatric Basic Life Support
* Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering

My Availability
My opening times are term time only Mon – Thurs, 7am – 9am & 3pm – 6pm school term time only; as a parent, I understand the need for flexibility with childcare, therefore I am more than happy to discuss your needs and come to an arrangement that works for everyone – my fees will reflect your needs.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Fees are paid in advance either weekly or monthly and will be discussed in more depth during our first meeting.
