Kim has been our lovely, gentle, fun and wonderfully caring nanny for the past two years to our two daughters now aged 6 & 9. I cannot recommend Kim highly enough and thank her from the bottom of my heart for being part of our family, for caring for our girls while we have been at work full-time and for sorting out everything at home so that everything was always an oasis of tranquility when we returned home from the rat race.

Kim is thoughtful and attentive to the girls’ individual needs, which can be diametrically opposing at times! Thank goodness for Kim’s kind, diplomatic manner! 😊 She is very organised (school uniforms and school things always ready) and a self-confessed clean freak! She is reliable, punctual and hardworking, not afraid to muck in and thinking of things to make our lives easier as well as to help the girls with their development. She does things with love and care, taking time to ensure things such as homework is done properly, play dates are arranged, birthdays and parties are remembered, and meals cooked fresh to ensure healthy body and mind. She notices things the girls are in to or are good at and encourages them to take it further. She is so generous with the girls with her time and love.

Brownies, theme week, school projects, parents evenings, parents year nights out, Christmas fayres, lines for school plays, class assemblies, teacher’s gifts, piano lessons and remembering to pack them, gym kits, hockey kits, netball matches, outgrown uniform replacements ....etc! Kim has been behind the girls (and us) every step of the way. Otherwise it would surely not be possible to hold down a full time job for us AND remember the never ending list of routines/chores/events surrounding the school and social lives of two young madams!! 😂

She has also taught and encouraged the girls to swim which they were petrified of doing before, instilling confidence in them and a sense of control. She is an outdoorsy person and so our girls have had plenty of fun with her visiting many places and trips to the park!

Kim is honest and down to earth, and understanding of our needs as working parents and busy lives. I think she will make an excellent addition to the next family lucky enough to find her, but unfortunately for us, the time has come for us to reduce our childcare hours and therefore cannot keep Kim forever, much as we would love to.

Finding a “real” nanny who is genuinely passionate about her job and childcare is rare - nannies like Kim are few and far between and we have been incredibly lucky to have her in our family!
