Caring and understanding childminder

Sandra has been looking after our son Arthur for just over 3 months now, since he was 9 months old.
After having a bad experience with his original childcare provider we were extremely cautious in choosing his next childminder. However, in Sandra we have found someone who is wonderfully caring & understanding and always puts the needs of the children first, therefore allaying all our fears.
Sandra is excellent at providing a loving home-from-home atmosphere for the children & they enjoy lots of trips out to local parks, toddler groups, etc. as well as craft sessions at home. She also works closely with us as parents to make sure that our child's development needs are met & we collaborate closely to ensure consistency in our approach.
Sandra is always so good with Arthur, who seems to be going through lots of painful teething at the moment & he will always get plenty of reassuring cuddles when needed. Arthur enjoys spending time with, and learns from, the other children and is flourishing in Sandra’s care.
Returning to work after maternity leave is a scary prospect, but knowing that Arthur is being looked after by Sandra makes it all the easier.

EXCELLENT CARE

Our son has been with Sandra full time (Mon-Fri) since he was 5 months old. From Day 1 Sandra always kept us fully informed of Harley's progress and day to day updates, and worked with us on creating a fantastic caring environment for him. We always feel safe leaving him in Sandra's care. She is extremely attentive and always above everything else puts the children first. Not only is Sandra amazing but her husband and children also, and it is apparent that they treat Harley so well by the way he clearly loves being there with them.
Sandra has a great setting with lots of toys and learning activities for the children, and also takes them out regularly to groups and soft play and other places which is just great and appreciated so much.
Sandra does a lot of thoughtful craft activities with the children and marks special occasions and birthdays too with personal craft items Harley has made which are also so appreciated.
I can honestly say I do not think we could find a better all round childcare provider for Harley, and she is helping him learn new things every day and helping us greatly shape him into an amazing young man who with thanks to that be well prepared for pre-school when the time comes.

Cherished Childcare ?

Sandra has cared for Jasmine for the past two years . Jasmine is soon to turn three and will be moving on to Pre School very soon. Jasmine was not easy to settle at first , she was very attached to me and didn't like being left with anyone. We had tears for quite a while upon drop off but Sandra would always give me a quick call or text shortly after leaving to say that Jasmine was fine, stopped crying and was playing happily. This made going onto work much easier and happier for me knowing Jasmine was ok. Sandra has provided good care, fun and learning in her home setting and out and about at groups and day trips to various local attractions ( wisely gardens butterfly house, look out discovery centre, chessington world of adventure, various play parks, jakes soft play ) to mention just a few. Sandra has helped to build Jasmine's confidence by consistency in all aspects of care and learning. With good communication between ourselves we have worked together to teach Jasmine the basic foundations of life ( good manners, good eating habits, sharing and caring, potty/toilet training, educational skills through listening and play ).
I would recommend Sandra as an excellent Childcare provider and Thank her for all her devotion, dedication and love she has given Jasmine who is now a very happy and confident little girl who is ready for her next Journey onto Pre School.

Jasmine's lovely Childminder

Jasmine has been looked after by Sandra since February this year just before turning one year old. Jasmine wasn't happy to be left as you'd expect from a little one who has had mum all to herself for almost a year! Sandra would txt or give me a quick call shortly after leaving Jasmine to let me know that she had stopped crying and was ok. I really appreciated this as you do feel terrible leaving a crying child in someone else's care.
Jasmine soon settled into our new routine and now a few months on, Jasmine is happy to be with Sandra and has good days in her care and with the other children that Sandra cares for.
Sandra has taken Jasmine to plenty of places including Wisley gardens and Butterfly house, Windsor ( boat ride and trooping of the colours ), various farm parks, the lookout Bracknell and regularly goes to toddler groups.
Sandra keeps in contact throughout the day if and when needed and completes an online diary of Jasmine's day ( Babysdays ) which is brilliant as I can read what Jasmine has done that day and view photos and comments that Sandra has added.
Sandra promotes health, learning and development in a fun and positive way and I have noticed Jasmine become a confident little girl thanks to Sandra's care, time and devotion.

Sibling Care

Since my previous review regarding our eldest daughter, Sandra now looks after our youngest daughter 3 days a week and has done since she was 10 months old. She also looks after our older daughter during the holidays as she is now at pre-school but is always happy to go to Sandra's house as she has loads of fun.

We are really happy with the care Sandra provides for our daughters and also with their development. Our older daughter made the transition to pre-school with Sandra's help and support and was a very confident little girl having spent 2.5yrs in Sandra's care.

Our younger daughter loves going to Sandra's and playing with the other children as well as with Sandra's own children who are just lovely with the little ones. Sandra is great with communication and we are constantly in touch regarding the girls requirements and their development.

We are lucky to have found someone like Sandra to take care of both our daughters.

Granny's review

I have been looking after my grandson for 2 weeks, whilst his mum is recovering from an operation. This has included taking Charlie to and from his childcare with Sandra.

I was immediately struck by the warm welcome I was given and so pleased to see how happy Charlie was to be there. He entered the house totally at ease, engaged with the amazing selection of toys and happily waved goodbye. I was also delighted that she talked about hospitals and doctors in preparation for his mum's operation and he enjoyed playing with the doctor's set.

Sandra has kept in contact regularly during the day, giving brief updates which made me feel part of his day.

Charlie's social skills are pleasing and well developed and he plays well with the other children. He is learning a lot, with an impressive vocabulary and motor skills. I look forward to seeing what he will be able to do when I next see him.

Excellent childminder

Sandra has been childminding our daughter since November 2011 when she was 11 months old. Sandra immediately put us at ease and straight away we felt that we had made the right decision to use a childminder rather than a nursery.

Initially, our daughter only went to Sandra a couple of days a week as I wasn’t due back to work full time until January 2012 but even though the visits weren’t ‘regular’ she always seemed happy to go to Sandra and also to play with the other children. Since Erin has been going to Sandra’s full time she has thoroughly thrived in this environment. She loves the variety of activities and is happy to let Sandra help her with various tasks including drawing, painting, using new toys etc.

Sandra is great at communicating with us as to what our daughter has been doing each day and encouraging us to try activities she has enjoyed as well as asking us how she is and what she's been doing over the weekend etc. or if there's anything in particular she'd like us to focus on with Erin.

Sandra is very warm and caring and all the children are happy to go to her for cuddles as well as allowing her to help them with various activities. They also listen really well to her clear instructions. Also, Sandra’s own children are always very helpful and polite and love having other children around.

Sandra Review

Sandra initially looked after my eldest son after school and during holidays when he just started a local primary school. She is amazing and has so much enthusiasm and energy for the children.

It wasn't long until I realised how good Sandra so I decided to take my little one out of his nursery and move him to Sandra's 4 days a week. He settled in very quickly and enjoyed being with the other children.

Sandra always plans well in advance and manages to organise all sorts of wonderful activities and day trips for the kids.

Both my boys really enjoyed their time with Sandra and the only reason they no longer go there is because I gave up work to spend more time with my family.

Childminder

Sandra looks after our 9 month old son, Charlie, 4 days a week. She has a very welcoming home and a lovely family.

Charlie has settled in very quickly with Sandra - after 1 week he started smiling when we got to her front door and now holds his arms out for her straight away.

She has a wonderful range of toys for the children to play with and also takes them out to lots of parks etc.

I would recommend Sandra very much as she has been so good with our son and a lovely person to deal with.
