About Me
Little Gems Childcare
Care Inspectorate registered and with a number of years experience in childcare I provide a home from home environment for your little gem.
I offer flexible sessions where snacks and lunches are provided.
With a large garden and 2 spacious play rooms there is plenty of opportunity for your little gem to grow and develop.
Centrally located opposite Dumfries Hospital and in a quiet area dropping off and picking up from Little Gems can be stress free.
I am to provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment where children will learn and develop through play.
I have Public Liability Insurance.
Each gem is given their own personal daily diary. In here it will contain any activities they have done, what they have/haven't eaten, their nappy changes/toilet training updates, any sleeps they may of had and generally what they've done in that day.
A personal care plan will be kept for each gem. I do regular observations on each gem to acknowledged their achievements and help set new targets.
Each gem will have their own 'treasured memories' book which contains any artwork (if it doesn't go home!) and any photographs taken whilst at Little Gems.

My Experience
I have many years working in childcare. I've run my own childminding business now for nearly a year. Before this I used to work in a private nursery for several years. It was here I gained my childcare qualification and attended various different training courses such as Paediatric First Aid and Child Protection. ( I continue to attend any training courses I can). I have experience in a school nursery also and have babysat for friends and family growing up.

My opening hours are normally 8am-6pm however I offer flexible sessions that can be arranged out with these times.

My Fees
I offer a welcome package that is tailored to the families individual needs. This will include: number of days, meals to be provided and drop off and pick up times. Each families package is specific to them.
