About Me

A highly enthusiastic and self-disciplined individual with 10 years of solid experience in the childcare field, as well as 2 years in the field of education. The experiences have allowed me to find fun ways to engage with children and young people.

I have looked after children that range in backgrounds and ages; from 7 week old newborns to 4 year old preschoolers. I have watched them develop and grow into fantastic individuals with their very own characteristics and personalities. Despite their mere age - it is evident that children are great learners, but even better teachers. It is through them that I have learnt to be patient, creative and to take life less seriously (and at times more seriously).

My Experience

02/2021-Currently:
Nanny, Islington
Providing full-time care for a one year old girl. I plan day to day activities, ranging from classes to playdates with local nannies and children. I manage household chores relating to the child, compromising of weekly laundry duties and meal planning.

11/2018-02/2021:
Nanny, Islington
Nanny to a 3-year-old girl. In addition to attending weekly activities such as ballet and music groups, she is enrolled in the Kumon programme which I help her complete, with daily goals in the subjects of English and Mathematics. While she is at nursery, I care for their newborn daughter and help establish a routine for her, which includes feeding and sleep schedules.

09/2018-10/2020:
Nanny, Hackney
Nanny to two boys aged 18 months and 3 years of age respectively. I organised daily activities with the youngest and planned playdates in order for him to develop friendships with children similar to his age. I also handled nursery/school drop-offs and pick-ups with the eldest boy, as well as assisting with virtual/home learning during the pandemic. During school holidays and the pandemic, I was in sole charge of both boys and was able to arrange daily outings to local parks in order for the parents to work from home with ease.

07/2017-08/2018:
Nanny, Maida Vale
Worked as a full-time nanny for an 18-month-old girl. Started working with the family when she was 6 months and helped set up a routine that she's now well-acquainted with. Took the baby to classes; playgroups, language classes as well as swimming classes.

07/2016-07/2017:
Nanny, Queens Park.
Employed as a part-time nanny (whilst completing my postgraduate degree) for two boys aged 2 years and 4 years, respectively. In charge of school drop-offs and pick-ups, and taking the younger boy to local playgroups and playgrounds. Duties also included to prepare meals for the boys.

03/2012-07/2016:
Room Manager, Annie’s Nest, Twickenham
Provided a high level of childcare by following the EYFS Framework and maintaining health and safety standards at a nursery/preschool for children aged between 1 to 5 years of age. I planned creative and stimulating activities based around six key learning areas and delivered them using different learning styles and techniques, in order to fully engage and cater to the children's individual needs. Written observations and verbal feedback were provided to the parents on a daily basis.

05/2015-06/2016:
Nanny, Turnham Green
Worked as an evening nanny and occasional babysitter for a mother of two young children, who were aged 16 months and 2.5 years respectively. Went on daily outings to local parks as well as attending toddler and baby group activities with them regularly such as; music clubs, dance, swimming and fitness classes and play groups.

01/2011-03/2012:
Teaching Assistant, Ealing College Upper School, London
Worked as a support worker for a student with anger management issues. Would observe pupil’s behaviour in class throughout the day and report progression to a wider network of professionals consisting of staff members, parents, social worker and counsellor. Reports would be delivered verbally as well as in formal writing. Job role also included support with course/homework and regular one-to-one sessions with pupil in order to establish a positive relationship, address underlying issues and find ways to overcome them successfully.

07/2009-07/2011:
Private tutor, Wembley, London
After-school sessions that involved preparing students aged between 13-16 for their GCSE exams in English Language and History.
