Palace Fields Day Care Centre is located in a large area within Palace Fields Primary School. The Centre has a secure outside play area with access to a large grassed area and play ground. We are easily reached from all main routes. Public transport services are readily accessible. Please note that although we are located within the Academy, we are entirely separate from them as an organisation.
The toddler and pre-school rooms have their own entrance to outdoor play. The playrooms are generously proportioned, carefully designed and resourced to offer a wonderful learning environment for each age group. Our baby room is a cosy area which offers lots of different and soothing sensory experiences, calm lighting and music. The children love it!
We work closely with Palace Fields Primary School, offering wrap around care for nursery children, before & after school care for older children and we also provide a holiday club for school age children.
Children are cared for by an enthusiastic, skilled and experienced team of childcare practitioners who plan learning experiences to meet the needs of each individual child. All of our practitioners are qualified to level three or above and the pre-school leader is a qualified teacher. All staff hold a certificate in Paediatric First aid.
There is a lively and energetic buzz to the playrooms where children enjoy an extensive range of learning opportunities with staff committed to creating an atmosphere of care, respect, learning and fun.

Opening Hours: 8.00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
8.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Tuesday
Breakfast Club: 8.00 a.m. to 8.50 a.m
Morning session: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Afternoon session: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. (1-5.30pm on Tuesdays)
After school: 3.00pm-6pm for 4 -11 year olds (3.00-5.30pm on Tuesdays)
Holiday Club: 8.00 am-6pm for 4 -11 year olds (8.00am -5.30pm on Tuesdays)
Pre-school: 9.00am -12.00 pm or 12.30pm -3.30 pm
Our nursery is open for fifty weeks of the year (closed during school Christmas shut down) with the exception of bank holidays when we will be closed. We are also closed for a maximum of four other days during the year for essential staff training.

Booking and fees – terms and conditions
Day Care Fees
£20 per session (8am-1pm or 1pm-6pm) or £38 per full day (8am-6pm).
Fees are payable weekly or monthly by arrangement with the manager and absences must still be paid for. The setting is closed for the two week Christmas period in line with the school, this period is free of charge.
One month’s fees must be paid in advance for all new starters and this is non-negotiable.
Pre-School Fees
£12 per session (9am-12.00am or 12:30-3.30) Fees are payable on a weekly basis and absences must still be paid for.
Link Club (places must be booked in advance)
£7 from end of school until 4:15pm and £9 from the end of school until 6pm
£15 for a half day session during school holiday times (8am-1pm or 1pm-6pm)
£20 for a full day session during school holiday times.
If a child is collected part way through a session, then the whole session must be paid for and this applies for Day Care, Pre-School and Link Club. If fees are not paid, then the setting will take measures to recover any monies owed and this may mean that your child will be unable to attend until fees are paid.
Please note: Due to short notice cancellations and non-attendance at booked sessions, all Link Club fees must be paid in advance before your child attends any sessions. This is non-negotiable.
Breakfast Club fees
£1.50 per session. Must be paid at the time of attendance
