I started my daughter with Valbona at the age of 12 months and instantly knew I had made the right choice of childcare. Valbona went to every effort to make us feel at ease during the 'settling in' period and kept us informed with updates of how our daughter was throughout the day which was so reassuring.
Valbona has an immaculately clean home with a wide variety of toys and books to entertain the children. She also takes the children in her care out to playgroups which I really appreciated as it meant my daughter could socialise with other children. She has helped my daughter to say her first words and has been a key part of her development.
I have always felt that my daughter has been in a safe environment and looked after exceptionally well in a home-from-home setting with Valbona. I highly recommend her and am sad to be moving out of the area so that we can no longer bring our daughter. I am happy to be contacted by future parents for a reference.
Overall
I have had my daughter with Anna for over a year now and since the very beginning we have found Anna to be professional, approachable and caring. I feel that myself, my husband and daughter all have a strong relationship and rapport with Anna. My daughter was made to feel at home from the very begging and we have been provided with frequent communication from Anna on her progress, behaviour and general welfare. I feel that my daughter is safe and has a 'home from home' in Anna's care.
Anna is reliable, friendly, flexible and always willing to help. Since my daughter has been in Anna's care I feel that she has developed her vocabulary, numeracy and social skills. Often my daughter will use words that Anna has clearly taught her in conversation with myself and my husband which shows that she has retained the learnings that Anna has passed on. Anna has also communicated to us what she has been teaching my daughter, such as counting to 10, so that we can continue to do this with her at home.
I am very satisfied with the level of activities that Anna does with my daughter and believe that she receives a good level of stimulation. Anna is very creative in terms of the educational activities that she does for the children such as taking them on day trips to Horticultural Gardens to look and learn about nature or visiting different soft plays/playgroups to improve their social skills with other children. Anna also does lots of fun activities at home such as baking, arts & crafts, reading, outside activities in the garden etc. to teach the children new skills, coordination and expand their vocabulary. Anna has also encouraged my daughter to build relationships with the other children that she cares for and I believe this has taught her invaluable social skills such as how to share.
Anna always provides a detailed daily update on what they have done together during the day, what my daughter has eaten/drank and how she has slept etc. and I feel that her communication is excellent. Anna has also provided helpful advice to my husband when he has asked her about discipline at home which we have been able to practise with positive results.
Overall, I am extremely happy with Anna's care for my daughter and would definitely recommend her to other parents.
