About Me

Hi! I’m Leo and I’m currently working 3 days a week as a Maths and English teacher young people. I have always loved working with children and have done so since the age of 14. I’m also a mother to a gorgeous (almost) 3 year girl.

I would consider myself to be enthusiastic, fun, confident and motivated. I enjoy arts and crafts so often have kids making, drawing and painting. I also love being out and about so will often take the kids to the beach, park or library arranging treasure hunts etc.

Currently, I’m looking to find a childcare role 1 day a week (I currently work Monday-Wednesday) although I would consider more if it was the right fit. I’d need to be able to bring my daughter with me. She loves other kids so wouldn’t impact me looking after your children at all.

My Experience

I have had many relevant job roles over the past 9 years. Including regular childminding (full weeks during holidays, pickups and evenings during term time and weekly nightshifts), occasional babysitting, overnights, private tutoring and as a learning assistant for SEND students in a local secondary school. I have worked with newborns up to 17 years and have experience with ASD, Cerebral Palsy, Dyslexia and many other SEND conditions.

I love becoming part of a new family and consider childminding to be more than a job! I am still in contact with many of the children have looked after over the years; I consider the families to now be friends, the kids come and visit me at uni, stay with me some weekends or holidays and invite me to their birthday parties even though they are now in secondary school!

Unfortunately I do not drive.
