Hello, my name is Amy, here is a little bit about me. I’m always smiling and happy, I love creating a happy atmosphere where you can see smiles and listen to little giggles! im very cuddly and kind hearted, I enjoy making good relationships with children so it's a joy for everyone! I would love to work along side a family to take sole care of their children's well being and happiness by taking part in lots of social groups close by in the community and planning fun packed adventures. Such simple things can be the most memorable (jumping in muddy puddles with wellies and raincoats, collecting flowers from the park to make little braclets) my personal aim is to ensure children in my care are filled with little stories, smiles and cuddles ready for their mummy and daddy at the end of the day, helping to brighten their day with close communication to be able to pass on vital information and magic moments from everyday. My first and only language is English, although I do know some key words from other languages (Spanish and French). I enjoy being helpful so I would happily run small errands which you may need a helping hand with or light house keeping duties for the right family. Previously worked as a nanny for a family who had 3 children. I left to go on maternity leave and unfortunately I didn’t return as I wanted to spend more time with my little boy before returning to work. I’m looking for a lovely family who would welcome me and my little boy to your family :)
My Experience
I have 7 years of childcare experience, I began studying and gaining childcare experience in 2010, i then gained my level 2. I continued to work within childcare and studying along side my full time job to qualify for my level 3 diploma. I also have lots of other training which I have gained over the years such as ; food hygiene, child protection, advanced child protection, first aid, epi pen training.
Continuing to use my skills I have worked in a number of many big branded nurseries. I have worked my way up through job roles and been a room manager, third in charge and a helping deputy. In the past I have also been succonded to a struggling nursery in need to help turn their nursery around, help the manager lead their staff and fill the nursery with positivity and teaching staff core skills for their roles. I also then moved on to became a nanny where I had sole charge of three children whilst I also cleaned, cooked, organised the house, organised school bags ready for the days ahead and keeping up with a router for different sports equipment needed each day, meal planning for the week ahead, food shopping and other errands that were helpful to the family. I also looked after an older boy in the evenings cooking dinner and taking him to evening clubs.
I have lots of experience with children all ages not just from my previous work roles but from babysitting families on a regular basis, evenings until late mornings, overnight, and days. I love to always go the extra mile and be proactive where possible in my role to help out families I work with. Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference!
