We sent our daughter to Jayne at 8 months old and only moved on when she was nearly two because we moved out of London. Our daughter settled quickly there and made friends that she still sees now that we have moved – the homely setting was the perfect way for her to feel secure and she was shown so much love and care by Jayne and the girls who looked after her to the extent that they felt like members of our family – we continue to miss them all a great deal. From the day our daughter arrived, each day was filled with different activities and most days there were visits to other playgroups, museums, parks, the zoo etc. The learning-based activities were fun and engaging for our daughter whether it was art projects, baking, water play, kinetic sand etc. We were given daily updates via Tapestry to record our daughter’s progress which was great particularly in the early days when we weren’t used to being away from each other during the day. She picked up essential life skills from Jayne and her team – they supported her with learning to eat with cutlery, learning to walk and talk, hold a pencil correctly, put her coat on herself etc. I am sure our daughter took her first steps at Jayne’s but they were very sensitive when reporting these milestones so that these key moments could still be enjoyed by us as a family. Our daughter grew very close to her key worker Livvie, it was clear how much they loved each other and she still talks about her now. Livvie was so brilliant with her, making every day full of fun but still being there for hugs and to support our daughter when she went through tricky phases. We really feel that our daughter could not have had a better start in life, the only trouble is that the bar has been set so high we are finding it very difficult to find anywhere that can offer her the same dedicated care and opportunities to learn and explore the world. If only all childcare was like this. We would absolutely recommend Jayne and her team to anyone.
