About Me
My name is Emma Williams and I am Registered with CSSIW as a Childminder, working in my home. I registered as a childminder in May 2017 when I was 25 years old. I am registered to care for up to 10 children under 12 years of age. I live in a two stories house in Buckley, right next to Buckley Common.
As my home is almost just across the road from the common, I will often take the children to; to play on the park, feed the ducks, and play games on the large field.
My home is made up of a front room, kitchen, outdoor playroom (converted garage), downstairs and upstairs bathroom and three bedrooms.
My Experience
I worked as a supply teaching assistant for two years. I worked in many different primary schools and nurseries during this time. I planned and carried out different activities with children of various ages using the foundation phase. Before working as a teaching assistant I did many different work experiences, also in schools and nurseries for my studies.
My Qualifications
I have a foundation degree in Early Years and Learning Support studies from Bangor University.
I passed a course on Understand how to set up a home based childcare service.
I have a Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid and a Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
My Availability
I take children during term times, holidays and bank holidays. I do, however, have one week off during December around Christmas time and a minimum of two weeks off, at other times of the year. I will give a minimum of one months’ notice on when I will take this time off.
My normal childminding hours are 8am-5pm. I do have a condition to not do any less than 5 hour sessions, for children under 5 years old.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
Monday- Friday: £4 an hour, between 8am and 5pm.
Before school- £8
After school- £8, until 5pm
Under 5s- Minimum 5 Hours per day
*Fees are rounded up to the nearest half hour. For example -
If a child is booked to attend from 8:00am to 4:00pm but you arrive between 4:00pm and 4:30pm, you will be charged for the extra ½ hour on your next invoiced at the booked or non-booked overtime rate.
