I qualified as a teacher last year and have been working on supply since. I am a friendly, caring person who has found the pressure of test results in schools too much, but my passion to work with children is still strong, so I have decided to go into childcare. I have Qualified Teacher Status, a DBS check on the update service and relevant training in areas such as safeguarding, moving and handling, epilepsy awareness and behaviour management. I am currently studying a masters in education.
I have vast experience with Special Needs including Autism, ADHD, Physical Disabilities, Epilepsy and more. My degree specialised in Early Years so I have done a variety of placements working with children aged 3-7. From these placements I have secured jobs in a nursery working with 0-4 year olds, and schools working with primary children with special educational needs. I have also been an enabler for a young girls with profound and multiple learning difficulties who was a wheelchair user.
BA (Hons) Early Primary Education with QTS. Currently studying Education MA.
