About Me
Hi my name is Karen and I am an OFSTED registered childminder. I am a fun loving person and will endeavour to make your child's experience a enjoyable and educational journey. My family and i enjoy outdoor living, walking, cycling and we are always on the hunt for new adventures and different places to visit. I live on the Kings Reach estate, i am a 5 minute walk to St.Andrews East site and 10 minutes from Edward Peake. Being a parent of 2 boys (12 and 15) and a daughter (4) has given me valued experience and a good understanding of a child's needs which is beneficial to me as a childminder.
My Experience
The children will have a home from home experience in a warm and caring environment. I will provide your child with a variety of interesting and challenging activities including imaginative role play, expressive artwork, child and adult led activities to help him/her learn, develop and become more independent and confident, as well as exploring the world we're in.
I am familiar with the Early Years Foundation Stage guidelines and will comply with their requirements to ensure your child's needs are met.
Weather permitting we will attempt outdoor activities including garden play, local park visits and some local days out.
I aim to ensure each child is given a healthy balanced diet throughout the day.

NCFE Cache level 3 in preparing to work in home based childcare
Paediatric First Aid
Observation and planning for new workers
Awareness of Child Abuse and Neglect
Early Child Development
Safeguarding
Channel General Awareness
DBS checked (and my partner)

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
My rates are £6.00 per hour, i also offer a sibling discount £5.50
This will include healthy home cooked meals
Organised outing a contribution will be required (zoo, farms, soft play etc)
