About Me
Hi I’m Amanda, I am currently taking time off from Childminding and currently have no spaces available.
I have been Childminding since 2004. I have received Outstanding from Ofsted twice, and also Good with Outstanding features.
I live in close proximity to Sunderland town centre, I am married to Dean, we have 6 children: our 3 young children are aged 7, 11 and 14 years old.
My Experience
I am a mother to 6 children. I am a warm, friendly, honest person, who has a lot of love to give. I follow a peaceful, respectful style of parenting, which follows through into my childminding.
I have 16 years experience as a Registered Childminder, I have looked after many children with varied gifts, abilities, development, speech and language delays/disorders and learning needs. I treat every child as an individual using their interests, schemas and development, to meet their needs in their care and play.
I love spending time with children: playing, learning, singing, reading, providing art materials and messy play. I have been a working mother for many years, I know how important it is to know your child is safe and happy while you are working or taking a much deserved break.
I only work part time at the moment.

-Hygge in the Early Years (52 wks course)

I do weekly Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training, which enables me to keep high standards and continually update my knowledge and practices.

Amanda was childminder to my first son years ago. So when I found out I was pregnant with twin girls she was my first thought for childcare.
Her priorities are always the children, she spends a lot of time ensuring that all activities and resources are suited to the children. She keeps you constantly updated as to their progress along with any concerns she has and also celebrates their achievements with you.
Whilst with Amanda the girls have developed fantastically, they attend a couple of different toddler groups and have made friends there. They love her older children, and enjoy picking them up from
School with Amanda.
Amanda will folllow your routine for the children and creates an environment that is positive and stimulating. The girls have a structure and routine in place and are happy and comfortable at Amanda’s.
I could not recommend a better childminder, your children will definitely be in safe hands and happy in their time with Amanda.
