About Me
My name is Melissa and I am registered with Ofsted as a Childminder's assistant. I am working alongside my mum Christine who has been a Childminder since 1994.
We offer a homely setting aswell as a double garage converted as a playroom and a large enclosed garden with lots of outdoor equipment.
We take the children on various inclusive outings such as: Farms, Nature Reserve, Wildlife Park, Children's Centres and Play Areas etc.
We accept 2, 3 and 4 year old government funding and childcare vouchers.

My Experience
1 year as a full time nanny for one child age 3 before she started full time school. (August 2016 - September 2017)
2.5 years as a Nursery Nurse at Buttons Day Nursery. I was a float and I worked between the three rooms caring for children age 6 months - 4 years (Jan 2014 - July 2016)
11 months work as a live out nanny providing before and after school care and full time care on Fridays for 2 children age 15 months and 3 years (Sep 2014 - Aug 2015)
1 year working as a Ofsted registered Childminder for Little Wombles in Earlsfield, London working with children aged 6 months to 3 years (2012 - 2013)
Part time experience as an Ofsted registered Childminding Assistant for the previous 4 years (2008 - 2012).
9 months voluntary experience in the local Hospital Day Nursery working with 0 - 5 year olds.
Work experience at a local School in Nottingham as part of my University course working with 6 - 7 year olds.
16 months weekend work at Park Hill Hospital in Doncaster as a Hotel Services Assistant.
I have a current DBS and Paediatric First Aid (12 hour course), Safeguarding training

We have two children, 3 and 18 months, who have been with Christine and Melissa for 6 months. Before moving them to childminding we had previously tried putting them both in to a local nursery, which hadn't been a success. The difference finding Christine and Melissa has made to our family is phenomenal. Both of our girls love going every morning. Our youngest often cries when she realises she isn't going to the childminders at the weekend and they both run in every morning, excited for the day. Christine and Melissa offer a homely environment, the house is dedicated to their business and there is more than you could ever imagine for the little ones to play with. They go on brilliant days out every week, teaching our girls lots, which we learn about every evening when they get home. They offer nutritional meals and are really accommodating to fussy eaters (our oldest particularly). Most importantly, you know that the children are well looked after and loved whilst they are there. Could not recommend more highly!

Melissa has come into our home during a very challenging time in our family life, she has coped well with the dynamic world that we have found ourselves in and throughout this experience has given my daughter a reason to smile each day. This is the mark of a good nanny.
We are sadley saying goodbye to Melissa as my daughter is now heading to full time school, if we could keep her on we would but I know how much Melissa love working with children. Melissa has been very flexible in responding to our needs around the times and days she works which has been really helpful.
I would recommend Melissa to you as she is a guaranteed find and a great assets to have around your children/home. I hope she will continue to be in our lives in some way and with it be a great role model to my daughter. I wish her well in her new adventures...
Overall
We employed Melissa as a live out Nanny for out two children, aged 4 and now 2 from September 2014 until August 2015.
My husband was mainly working abroad and I often worked long and unpredictable hours and so we needed someone who would be flexible and fully relied on to take care of our children.
Melissa worked mornings and afternoons / evenings on Monday until Thursday and then had both girls all day Friday.
I can honestly say that we were 100% happy with every aspect of Melissa's work.
From day one when Melissa visited our home, the girls immediately took to her and from there they all formed a special bond.
Each afternoon Melissa had interesting, creative and varied activities organised with my older daughter, followed by a healthy home cooked meal. On Fridays Melissa organised days out and the girls were taken somewhere interesting and fun every week which they really loved!
Often they socialised with Melissa's mum (a well-known child-minder in our area), and the other children she looked after as well.
Melissa always kept our kitchen and living / play area immaculately tidy and would always use her own initiative to look out for any other tasks that needed done! I would rarely have to ask Melissa to do anything but if and when I did she was very obliging.
On numerous occasions, parents of our daughters' friends (who they would see at the school pick -up, or out and about at classes etc.) commented on how impressed with Melissa, her way with the children, and, how fond they were of her.
The only reason that Melissa's time with our family has come to an end is that we are all moving abroad. Otherwise we would have hoped that Melissa would have stayed with us for years to come.
I would not hesitate to recommend Melissa as a Nanny and very much hopes she finds another family who value her as much as we did.
