About my setting

Mission and Values

Sought out Kids is out sort out all your child care needs, to make difference in the life of kids by creating a safe, secure and stimulating and conducive learning environment for the children and deliver high-quality services that cover all the seven areas of learning and development and to make the best possible progress towards school readiness.

Sought out Kids core values

• Has high standards of integrity and openness

• Values develop and respect all children

• Strives for excellence

• Promote and implement culture and diversity both internally and externally.

I provide quality childcare by offering a child-centred approach in a home setting that enables the child to feel happy, comfortable and secure whilst fulfilling their potential. I will provide a warm, safe, friendly, home environment with a family atmosphere in which children feel valued, can play, learn and develop. Each child will have the opportunity to have experienced and taken part in activities which will help them learn new things and develop new skills. Each child will be treated as an individual, taking into account specific characteristics, abilities and needs.

Weekly Planner

I believe children feel secure in a routine as they know what to expect. However, all routines will be flexible and I do adapt the activities to the individual interests of the children. I allow children to choose what activities they want to do because the child-led play is important. It gives the child control over what they are doing which improves their confidence and keeps them stimulated. I provide an environment where the children develop through play (both indoor and outdoor play) making new discoveries and taking risks within safe boundaries.

During school holidays the routine is obviously slightly different. I try to take the children out daily to different places including the library, local museums, parks, centre and plenty of walks. I endeavour to go out often and base my choice to suit the children in my care. I choose the groups I attend very carefully taking each child's individual needs into account.

I do provide nutritious and healthy food and drink, a parent can also provide lunch box for their children if they fill like which can be warm-up for the children, I would respectfully ask that no chocolate or sweets are included.

All food and drink will be consumed at the table and we will all sit and eat together at meal times to ensure that this is a regular practice, pleasant and social event. I sit with the children and encourage them to talk and listen to each other, learning to respect each other’s views and opinions, likes and dislikes, etc. I encourage children to take turns, share and be polite and also encourage common courtesies such as saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you’.

Equal Opportunities

I treat every child with equal concern and respect, meet their individual needs, regardless of gender, social background, ethnic origin, religion, age or ability and challenge discrimination. I always help children feel good about themselves and others, by celebrating the differences which make us all unique.

My Experience

I have a wealth of experience working with children on a day to day bases and deliver high-quality services that cover all the seven areas of learning and development and to make the best possible progress towards school readiness. I offer various activities and opportunities that provide the best possible learning outcomes for the children. I have experience of working with children with additional needs

Esther is a very experienced Childminder & has provided me with Excellent Chilcare Services. She responds within very short notice and I find her to be very reliable. In addition to this, She was able to connect with my daughter from the first time she met her & my daughter felt safe in her care even though my daughter is very shy. I will recommend Esther particular if you need flexibility on child care arrangements, a friendly atmosphere & and a childminder that is willing to go extra mile in rendering exceptional child care services.
