My Experience

When I was 16 I gained some Work Experience at a local Primary School, after my first day there I just knew it was the career for me. I am dedicated to the Early Years and working with Children and enjoy helping them to learn and develop in a nurturing environment. I then began studying at College where I graduated with an HNC in Early Education & Childcare, during my time at College I completed Placement in a Local Authority Primary School & Nursery, I also lead a Storytelling Session with Children who visited the College, I throughly enjoyed my studies and learning more.

I then carried on to University and graduated with a BA Childhood Studies, this provides me with a greater understanding of child development and supporting children to achieve their goals, I completed Placements in a Private & Local Authority Nursery during my studies. Whilst I was studying I worked as a Relief Childcare Practitioner at a Private Nursery where I worked with children from 3 Months to 12 Years. I also know some Makaton and some British Sign Language

I have worked as a Nursery Nurse, Early Years Support Assistant and a Supply for Learning Assistant for the local Council and remain on the Supply List for these positions, I have experience of Care Plans, Learning Journals and have gained a lot of experience during my time in the Early Years.
