My Experience

Inzievar Primary School - Student Placement
Duloch Primary School - Student Placement
At my two placements above I carried out many activities including of art and design, numeracy, language and literacy based. I also helped my teacher with her teaching inputs by taking small groups to help the children's development. I also helped out on playground duties and dinner hall duties.

CHAS Hospice - Sibling Support Volunteer
Within my volunteering at CHAS, I was the sibling support carer. This involved me preparing and carrying out activities for all aged children. The activities I would come up with would be either crafts, obstacle courses, games, wall art, treasure hunts and even baking.
Brownies(Girl Guides) - Volunteer
At brownies I carried out many activities which involved sports, crafts, preparing the children for their badges such as helping them cook, camping trips and days out to zoo.

Camp America- Camp Counsellor
Within my three month period working for Camp America, I lived in Pennsylvania/Philadelphia. I worked at Shelly Ridge Girls Scout Camp where I gained experience working with all age children. Within my time at camp I had to prepare and carry out activities and daily routines for the children. I was responsible for children aged 3 too 16 years old.

Private Nanny - August 2018-July 2018
Within my time as a private nanny I gained vital experience working with the children . I daily created activities and entertained the children from 11:30 to 6pm , I also made dinner occasionally, provided healthy snacks and lunches .

Casual Childcare Practitioner- Fife council -July 2019- Present.
Within my role as a practitioner for Fife council I work in crèches and Out of School Clubs. I work with children aged 6 weeks too 11 years old. I have gained knowledge and experience working with younger children within this role , therefore I can babysit for children at the age of six weeks +.
