My Experience

I have been doing nannying for the last 5 years i really like it, i don’t plan on going back into nursery work as iv enjoyed this so much. I was at my last job there for 8/9 mouths but they are now moving out of London so I’m looking for a new job I’m sad to see them go as we’ve all become really close and i have formed a great relationship with the children but i believe that i can do the same in another job. (Yvonne care centre) i helped with the breakfast club, my duties were to supervise the children eating breakfast and then supervising them to local infant school. Also working in the crèche with children aged 3 mouths - 3 years while their parents attendeded English classes, my duties included nappy changing, bottle feeding, daily activities, planning for the children and supervising snack times. I would then collect the children from the local schools and take them back to the centre and supervise meal times and help with the after school care. (Active learning) i was a nursery nurse mentor for children aged 2-3 years i provide stimulating activities to help the children’s development skills in all areas of learning. I maintain a safe, secure and caring environment for the children. I ensure all policies and procedures within the nursery are implemented. I follow OFSTED requirements by taking the children on outings to theatre, farm and the local park. I settle new children and parents into the rooms. I support children with toilet training. I plan and prepare activities to meet the children’s individual needs, Including outside play keeping progress records of development and observations, communication effectively with parents/carers by keeping them up to date with children’s progress and daily routines.
