About Me
Hi there! My name is Shakira, I’m 20 years old and a second year psychology student at the University of Reading. I am keen to help local families with babysitting in or around Reading and hope to gain more experience working with children as I aspire to be an Educational Psychologist in the near future.
My Experience
I have recently worked for the National Citizen Service as a support worker where i was responsible of a young person. From this i was able to gain further experience in understanding mental health illnesses such as Anxiety and neuro-developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. My role was to ensure the young person was safe and was able to participate in all the activities provided. This role was also partly residential.
I have previously worked for Mothercare Early Learning Centre for 3 years where i provided parents information on child development in early years. I have in depth knowledge on the development of young children from birth to adolescents.
Also, i have previously students of various ages (primary and secondary years) in a range of subjects such as Maths, English, Science and Psychology so i can happily and confidently help your child with any homework set.
My Qualifications
BSc Psychology - University of Reading - 2017 to present
GCSE A-Levels - BBB - Psychology, Sociology, Government and Politics
10 GCSEs A* to C including B in Maths and A in English Language
