Hello, my name is Tracey Rose and I run Daisy’s Micro Nursery.
We have lots of fun and varied activities, inside and out - come and join our friendly little gang!
I am a registered childminder situated close to the Five ways area of Brighton.
I have been childminding with my assistant Amanda, since 2011, and previously run my own nursery.
We run a micro nursery based on giving children the nursery experience within a home environment.
We offer a welcoming, safe, secure and stimulating home setting in a quiet street with easy access and plenty of parking for parents to safely drop off and pick up their children.
Daisy’s Childminders is a nurturing environment with indoor and outdoor activities including a sensory room, soft play and ball pool area. We have heuristic play as well as arts/crafts, creative play, imaginative, construction, story time, music and song time plus regular outings to the library, park and our allotment. We have a lovely Cocker Spaniel called Roman, who thinks he is one of the children! He has been with us since he was 8 weeks old, so has grown up with little children and is very gentle around them, and has helped the children to feel confident and know how to handle animals. The children enjoy taking Roman on walks over the field and through the woods.
I also have grown up children of my own, who do not live at home.
I ran my own Nursery for 21 years, from 1990 to 2011.
During that time I gained experience in observing, planning and assessing an individual child’s needs and have worked closely with parents to promote their child’s learning and development, helping them to gain the skills and confidence to allow them to progress.
I hold a number of qualifications in childcare and early years practice, and feel it is important for me to continue my professional development which allows me to reflect on and improve my practice

My daughter was full time at Daisy's for three years. She was cared for and integrated with the older children even before she could walk. Her confidence and social skills have gone from strength to strength with the kind and sensitive support provided.
My child really felt like part of a little family and the children here are encouraged to help each other and are always taking about caring and sharing.
I couldn't have been luckier with my choice of childcare - thank you Daisy's!
My son went full time at Daisy's when he was 8 months old (he is now at school) and my daughter started when she was 1 (she is two next month). This setting is so nurturing and safe that I never had a moment's feeling of guilt returning to work and sending either of them full time to Tracey. I know that Tracey and Amanda are filling her day with fun and taking good care of her. She really enjoys it and is thriving there. It's a small scale place so more like a family than a nursery. Tracey also does term time only hours so it suits us perfectly. Tracey and Amanda are so friendly and welcoming, I just cannot recommend this place enough.
I was lucky enough to find Daisy's Childminders when I was looking for childcare for my son Freddie in 2012. Since then, both he and, currently, my daughter Phoebe have been looked after by Tracey and Amanda and I can't recommend them enough! The nursery setting within Tracey's home works so well and is warm and welcoming and they have a fantastic range of toys, activities, and also access to outside space which is lovely.
Both my children settled really well, due largely to the kind, nurturing and supportive atmosphere that Tracey and Amanda create; it can be an anxious time putting your child in childcare, but I know that my children are in very safe and capable hands at Daisy's. Phoebe is very happy to go to the setting and sometimes doesn't want to leave! They are also flexible and accommodating with times, which helps me as a self-employed person. I would highly recommend them and feel very fortunate to have found such professional and caring childcare for my children.
In short, I would have been lost without both Tracey and Amanda. Both my boys have been lucky to attend Daisy's since they were around 10months -a year old (they are 2 and 4 now and still there!).
The nursery is a total home from home, providing a really nurturing and caring environment, just what you need when leaving your little ones for the first time. It provides all the stimulation and diverse activities a larger nursery has on offer but the smaller group size means that the children can be taken to the local park to have a swing and a slide. There is a fab sensory room with a ball pit and disco lights which my boys love and can burn off some energy in, as well as a garden and allotment to get some fresh air, play with toys as well as helping to grow and pick fresh vegetables!
Home cooked lunches, a nice place for a nap, friendly and professional staff- AND free car parking in Brighton! It's a shame they don't cater for adults, I could stay all week!
If this sounds like a glowing report, it is meant to. Look no further, you've found the best place for your child/children!
My son has been going to Daisy's micro nursery for 2 years and loves it. They are flexible, caring, very experienced and offers a safe, fun and secure environment where my son has learned so much.
We will be sending our daughter there when she is a little bit older as I know she will receive the love and care needed when I'm at work. My son has made loads of friends here and talks about Mandy and Tracey often at home.
They offer a home cooked lunch and takes the kids out for fresh air and a play often, teaching them how to grow vegetables and fruit at the allotment. I am very lucky to have found them and trust them with my kids lives!
