About Me

Hi I am Emily. Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my profile.

I have a degree in early years education studies and also achieved my early years teacher status.

I am an ofsted registered Nanny with lots of experience in schools, nurseries and for the last three and a half years I've had a sole charge nanny position in Hampshire. I have a clean UK driving license, my own car and I am DBS checked which is on the update service. I have over ten years experience of working with children. I am passionate about early learning and development and LOVE planning and delivering exciting learning activities. I have a great knowledge of the eyfs and lots of experience planning fun and engaging activities to meet children's developmental needs.

I have plenty of references available on request.

I have a little daughter (currently 3 yrs) who would need to come to work with me - she is however a very happy girl and I feel could be beneficial to some families as socialisation has been so hard recently!

Please get in touch if you think I can help you.

My Experience

2018 - Present
Sole Charge Nanny for one family children aged 0-8 yrs.

2015-2018 Swindon Academy
I worked as the senior Early Years Educator in a nursery within a school. I was key person to a large number of children. I was responsible for their wellbeing, progress, the documentation of their learning and building positive relationships with parents/carers.
Over the last three years here, I covered weekly PPA and NQT slots as the teacher in both the reception and nursery classes. I did this, on average, for two to four days a week.
During my time here I developed a strong interest in speech and language difficulties. I worked closely with a large group of children to identify their communication needs, been directly involved with the referral process and taken a lead in delivering our intervention programmes to the children.
I had Signalong and Early Talk Boost training which has developed my skills and supported the work I do with the children.
The school is in a very disadvantaged area, consequently I learnt how to deal effectively with many safeguarding issues and taken a proactive role in closing the gap in the children’s development.
2013 – 2015
Chagford C of E Primary School, Devon
I worked as a Foundation Stage Practitioner in a foundation stage unit for two years.
This gave me the chance to further develop a first-hand knowledge and experience of the EYFS.
I completed my Early Years Teacher Status in my first year which has helped me be take a proactive role in leading others to improve many areas of practice including: our maths area, outdoor learning, planning and our partnership working with parents. During my second year I was a mentor for another Early Years Teacher trainee which furthered my experience and skills to support others.
2013 – 2015
School’s Out at Chagford (out of school care facility)
I worked for two years as part of a team which offered wraparound care for children aged 3-11 through our breakfast club, after school club and holiday club.
For one year I was the coordinator of the out of school care facility, which enabled me to show leadership over others and develop the skills needed to oversee all aspects of the provision.
