Kim is 100% the best childminder we have had for our children. She has looked after our now 4 year old daughter for 2 years and she settled in very quickly. Our son, now 6, has also had after-school pick ups from Heathcoat school. Kim has a lovely manner, she is gentle and kind with the children as well as maintaining boundaries, encouraging things like tidying up by making it into a game. They play outdoors often, exploring the garden and playing on ride ons, sliding etc. As well as playing with toys with the other children, my daughter has enjoyed a range of activities like painting and crafts, stringing beads etc.
The environment at Kim's is very nurturing and she understands the needs of each child- my daughter has been through points where she has needed naps, potty training etc and it was all a breeze with Kim- which is reassuring as a parent that you know they will be safe during these important stages.
She communicates very well, she uses Famly app so we get photos of what they have been up to, eaten etc. She mentions anything important at the doorstep too. She is very dependable, and when she has the space she has been able to have my son or daughter for extra sessions too.
When we lived in another area we had other childminders and they were good, but I can hand on heart say Kim has been the absolute best childminder we have had. For all the reasons above and more. My daughter is going to nursery in preparation for school now, but keeps talking about things she remembers from being at Kim's, and says 'I don't ever want to forget Kim!' I think that's all the proof you need really!
